Not really , just couldn’t understand the anti Jose sentiment the moment he walked through the door.
And when we struggled with injuries the “I told you José was finished brigade” lapped it up. So the irony now is the Shoe is on the other foot and the haters can’t handle it.
And am sure After a few losses the whole cycle will start again
And btw, the biggest Ndombele fan and even shocked we managed to get him in the first place. Clearly struggled with weight and other issues but technically him and Lo Celso up there as our best players .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What couldn’t you understand?
Unhappy about Poch going
Unhappy about a manager in which a circus has always ensued
Unhappy with an ex-Chelsea manager
Unhappy with a manager who recently had played very negative football
I think that’s easy enough to understand
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope , dont understand. Loved Poch but we were in free fall under him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you have accepted us signing Sherwood or Kinnear as manager then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not sure of a better option than José at the time.
You cannot ignore his résumé.
People criticize his time at United but he finished 2nd with them and won two trophies, so not as doom and gloom as is made out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is also a good point.
No one should be saying I told you so until we’re lifting a trophy.
It’s pathetic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the match thread against Southampton when we were losing alot of mugs were saying "Where are the Jose lovers now?" At full time the mugs had egg on their face.
LOL
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s a difference though. At that stage Spurs had started the season poorly on the back of a really poor 1st season under him. Maureen looked finished even before we went to United and nothing he had done up until Son’s equaliser suggested otherwise.
Even the biggest Maureen fanboy wouldn’t have believed you if you told him 7.5 games later that Spurs would be top of the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We finished poorly before lockdown because Kane, Son and Sissoko were injured. Ndombele was never fit too. That's when the knives were really out for him.
After Lockdown we did well to get a Ropey league place. The pull Jose has with players meant we could sign some decent talent plus Ndombele got fit (kind of) bless him.
But you right. I didn't think we would be top right now but credit to him and players for responding and buying into his game plan.
It was worse than made out (especially with the Spurs fans that rewrite our history). 2nd and two trophies really doesn’t reflect how bad things were under Mourinho.

That’s the point I made earlier Jose won’t have been my first choice, no way Jose! But you couldn’t really count kinnear and Sherwood as decorated serial winners
It was More the venom and hatred that came within some circles here that was more shocking And I had to stop coming here for sometime as it appeared there was delight in us loosing so some could prove a point . The first lockdown was such a relief.!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost no manager antagonises more than Jose though? Every fan base, even Chelsea fans, would agree. If a dog bit you a hundred times then you had to look after it, you’d be equally cautious/resentful.

Don will ride the Jose wave after every win, then turn suicidal after every defeat and claim Spurs are a bunch of bottlers.
About as reactionary as they come.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs win: Mourinho masterclass.
Spurs don’t win: players and Levy are cuuuunts.
This is usually the way with the cult of Mourinho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This
One notorious poster on this site blamed Poch for the poor performances at the end of last season. Then under Mourinho the poor performances continued and it was all the players fault.
In the past he didnt want Mou at the club, couldnt stand him. Now its 3 cocksucking articles per day about Mourinho. Its Wahlesque style over the top fandom.

The funny thing is Don and Sandy slagged off Jose more than anyone before he took over at Spurs

It's not even as if he's won anything yet. When he does then they can truly tell us "I told you so".

Probably in response to the tantrum when he joined. Imagine crying when a serial trophy winner joins your club notorious for trophy dodging. It's a bit OTT but I would gloat too.
