Palmers, not sure beating Leicester is a yardstick of how good a team is. Spurs beat them comfortably as well last time they met. West Hsm beat them 3-0 as well. They blow hot and cold.

I still think Aurier, Dier, Alderweireld, Sanchez etc have a tendency to perform a catastrophic error no matter how solid Spurs' defensive shape is. Moments like that may cost Spurs I think.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Harsh on Alderweireld
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe so, but I have seen him make errors before. Catastrophic is a harsh word, but maybe lazy defending in the last 18 months or so up until now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All defenders make mistakes. Are you telling me none of your Liverpool defenders were blameless when Liverpool conceeded seven at Villa, or three against Leeds? Spurs defenders in the main have been excellent this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, but I'd rather all my defence make 7 errors in one game costing 3 points rather than have 2 defensive errors in 2 games, if you understand what I'm saying that is.
You keep banging on about 7-2 as if that means something other than a defeat.

I’m with Sandy, Leicester really ain’t all that. An injury to Vardy and they are screwed. Whilst an injury to Kane or Sonny is a huge blow, we can still cope and have proven we still win games without them. Leicester without vardy = mid table at best

Don, the key to Spurs winning the title is to go to places like Stamford Bridge and Anfield and win. That is what all the title winners have done over the years gone to the so called bigger clubs and got a result.
You would like to think Spurs will not lose that many games this season to the lesser sides. So the head to heads with the big clubs are the key to winning titles.
Liverpool do have a decent team, but I still think Spurs have as good a squad. And Spurs have to believe that they can beat them home and away, like Liverpool did to Spurs last season. It doesn`t have to be pretty, it just needs to be functional. And I am sure Jose will have them thinking they can win the big away games, especially as there are no crowds involved.
Their are a lot of very experienced players at Spurs now, so don`t rule out them winning the title. Just because they have not won it before, means nothing. They hadn`t won 6-1 at United before either.
Just have to have a mentality that you are better than any team you play.

Can't start commenting on your strength of squad when you haven't really had it stretched to the extent that Liverpool have.
Considering the times where you have made wholesale changes, you've lost like in the EL to Royal Antwerp. So if anything evidence points that your squad isn't all that strong. Or not as strong as you think it is.
As good as Spurs look, I still don't think you've got enough to win it. Dropping points against teams like Newcastle, West Ham and Everton at home already isn't a great start and I can only imagine there would be 1/2 other banana skin results like that along the way.

Yeah he's defiantly getting ahead of himself there.
Squad depth wise Chelsea are ahead of them let alone Liverpool.
Pool`s squad is no better than anybody else`s, some people do over rate it though, because they only see results and not how much help Pool get from the officials when they need it.
Spurs, City and Chelsea will not get those same levels of favour to drag them up the league. United and Arsenal will however, but they are so far off the pace even extreme bias from the officials in their favour will not be enough to see them challenge.

Despite dropping those points, Spurs still lead the way, and that includes games against City, United, Southampton. You may have a point about those dropped points if Spurs were like sitting 8th in the table, but they are top, so is a moot point. Haven`t Liverpool also dropped points against sides like Villa and Everton.
I think people are overplaying the importance of Sonny.
As we all know he's streaky anyway, and tbh the last 3 or 4 games his contributions have been on the whole poor.
Fantastic as he is to have when he's on song, there are more important players in the team than Son imo.

One game Spurs lost, same as Liverpool lost at home in the Carabou, what about all the other games Spurs won with squad players in the qualifying and the group, or don`t they count? You seem very selective. Spurs beat City last season without Kane.
And anyway, it`s all if players are missing. Spurs won their first three games without Kane last season. Just because Liverpool won one game without four players, don`t mean they are going to win every game. Leicester as well were missing several players.
To be honest fella, I get the impression you are hoping Kane and Son get injured, so you can say I told you so.
Just being realistic. Based on performances this season without Kane or Son we will struggle. I’m talking about this season, not last season which you keep on referencing.
You seem to just want to point score against Liverpool as much as possible. Including childish articles like the one you posted yesterday saying people were wrong in the head. It’s just very childish.
See where we are at Christmas and go from there. If we have a few bad results I expect Jose to go all in on the Europa.

2 trips to Bulgaria. My Sunday League side could beat some of that shiiite crawling in EL qualifying. I'd expect your U18's to win.
United and City both labour in the bottom half of the table, good wins to beat them, but beating a wounded side is hardly much to talk about. Southampton started off poorly as it was, would like to see how well you would fair against them now. Not to say they aren't tough games and it's not to justify for Liverpool having a easier/harder start, but you can't gloss over other teams by making them out to be better than what they are.
The next month and going into the New Year will tell everyone how strong Spurs' title challenge will be. A substantial amount of the season has passed now and the table is largely beginning to take shape, with the odd exceptions with probably the likes of United, City and Arsenal making improvements throughout the season I'd imagine.
I think you forget you have actually dropped as many points as Liverpool this season. You may be top now, which fair play, but you aren't blowing away the league.
I think you have your view of the league as very, off. You believe this is as good as Spurs have been since god knows when but yet are only top via goal difference by a side you don't even claim to be your biggest threat, you put that down as Leicester.
You need to take your rose tinted spectacles off.

Chronic, I definitely think Spurs match them squad wise. Spurs have shown they can easily compete in three different competitions this season, with very little fall off in results.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't start commenting on your strength of squad when you haven't really had it stretched to the extent that Liverpool have.

Spurs have played more games, and had a more difficult schedule than Liverpool this season, two trips to Bulgaria for a start, didn`t Liverpool also lose to Arsenal at home in the League Cup, whereas Spurs beat Chelsea.
Who have Liverpool played that makes their start harder. Spurs have already played United, City and Chelsea this season in various comps. Liverpool beat a 10 man Chelsea, and didn`t beat City, and you can hardly say playing Arsenal is difficult. Liverpool have had not harder games than Spurs.

Not point scoring at all. I am merely saying Spurs have as good a squad as anybody. It is you that is trying to turn it into a Spurs v Liverpool argument.
You picked on Spurs poorest result of the season, and made out like it had happened every week of the season.
