Former Rangers chairman Dave King has agreed the sale of his stake in the Ibrox club to supporters group Club 1872.
The sale, which will be completed within three years, will make the fans organisation the largest single shareholder in the club.

As a matter of interest, if the fans are the largest shareholders, does that mean they are also responsible for all of the debt?

Like Zach, I am fine with fans being the biggest shareholders. However, if the club has debts, is it not up to the largest shareholders to decide how best to manage those debts?

This is not a pop at Rangers fans, just a cautionary note that with ownership comes huge responsibilities. And, if they are not geared up for that, then they better start thinking about it.

how is the scottish cup even a factor, why the f... should he manage them for this game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Coz it's easier to kick the can down the road and hope something changes. Lawwell probably misplaced all those applications that he stuck in his drawer last year.. frantically trying to dig them all out. Panicking as he knows potential candidates have a good starting position in negotiations as they know how much is riding on this season, and how much we want Lennon gone.

They will “only” have 20% not a controlling interest
For me it’s a great thing that fans can own part of the club they support
Cant see a downside tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings shares would take them to 25%, this is very important as it effectively gives fans a veto as the majority of proposals require 75% to go through.
It's the same thing Ashley used, in reverse for so long.
It basically gives fans the never again protection but without actually having to take full responsibility.
