I don't see why everyone is getting so defensive about it fs
we're praising him for changing it ffs

Probably because you lot are re-writing history while accusing us of doing it FFS
I don't think it would be hard to find out what most people thought about him and what his future should've been back in Feb/March
HB especially, very vocal
he's done brilliant to turn it around
rangers are doing very well this season, he has turned it around as had been said.
i think given losing at home to Hamilton etc its fair to say another trophyless season would have seen him out the door.
for the people who wanted him to stay and don't think he would have been sacked, fair enough.
for those who wanted him gone and were absolutely raging, lets not pretend you always knew he would come good and his job was safe.
think he was a scouse bottle merchant

Aye it's no big deal man, rangers fans in the whole wanted him gone in Feb/March. Nothing to do with this season at all.

Still the third best English midfielder of his generation btw
Nobody is claiming he wasn't under pressure from the fans, he was and it was mounting.
He wasn't on the verge of chucking it or from an imminent sacking by the board. He was always getting a 3rd season

Nobody is though.
Fans wanted him out, you lot are claiming he was on the verge of chucking it and we're re-writing history to say he wasn't but the only proof provided is him saying he is desperate to have success here.
He was certainly questioning his position after that game. But I think he quickly decided he had board and squad backing.
Can't speak for everyone but I thought it he deserved another season at the time. He had shown enough in Europe and old firm games that he was on track.
He said at the start he thought it was a four year task to get the league and then compete in Europe. So to bin him after 1 season and two thirds would have been mad when there were obvious signs of progress.
If we ever go back to Dubai though
anyway since he was never leaving we can go back to the real injustice
our manager doing the fookin same

I agree.
There were days when many rangers fans out of frustration wanted him gone.
But I think when the dust settled a lot realised we were on a decent path.
A bit of squad strengthening and a few tactical tweaks and we seem to be in a different place👍
There's a huge difference between Gerrard and Lennon
Gerrard without getting the silverware could always be judged on a where they were when he took over to where now type thing
There had been clear Improvement at the club since he came in ,both on and off the field
I said this at the time ....but I went to a bar to watch the champions League cup final Liverpool v spurs
On the TV Gerrard appeared at a box , dressed in a suit taking in the game
I looked over and snaffled into the corner of the pub sat Lennon with his big grubby hand wrapped round a pint whilst he slurped on it !
It just seemed like opposite ends of the spectrum for me , and I think he does have a lack of professionalism
That crap he stuffs into his gum whilst managing ...I'm sorry but that is completely unprofessional ...what next ?
Sitting there with a pint ?
Wait until after the game ...until you've done your job
But I think when the dust settled a lot realised we were on a decent path.
=====
yeah you guys were totally cool around Christmas to end of season last year.
when the dust settled on those results you guys were like "you know, he's doing a good job"
f...ing hell man
he's doing a great job this season, but this is just nonsense
his big grubby hand wrapped round a pint whilst he slurped on it !
---
Not usually a 'pint' in the pubs you frequent.
If Lennon had anything about him, it seems to have now gone. Motivation was about his only real strength and without it, and he seems to have lost it, what else does he have?

Mental how we don't know what gerrard or the board were thinking, but we know what all the fans who were screaming for him to be binner really meant that he was doing a good job.

It's just remarkable, his turnaround. Utterly remarkable. I suppose his European exploits were always respectable, but this total 180 in the league absolutely baffles me. It's hard to imagine how he's managed it without some serious cheating going on in the background.
Which is enough evidence for me.

Later Gerrard said he needed time to think over his Rangers future. “I need to think hard about where we are at as a group. I need to do some real, serious thinking in the next 24, 48 hours. I am feeling pain right now because I want to win here, I am desperate to win here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That doesn't say he was going to chuck it.
