I don't think we are playing well but there was fight today. I don't anticipate we will play well until Partey is back but that doesn't mean we are incapable of finding a win before then either, we have to grind it out and we need a bit of luck which we have not had for ages.
Just one win and confidence starts flowing back and we turn the corner. Problem is it's Chelsea next
m8 how long is a piece of string? I asked this question to Dj before the Burnley game. When do you say enough is enough?

I suppose there are a lot of factors there. Including who is actually available and willing to replace him.
For me, it's when we get our best 11 on the pitch again, hopefully in the next 4/5 weeks. If we don't see improvements on the pitch by the end of Jan/early Feb then I think you have to bite the bullet, if you can get a quality replacement.
I understand your feelings though, it's not easy to still keep faith in Arteta right now for me either.
By the end of Jan any new manager will have one to bring in. Do you think even a Klopp can turn it around at that point?
That’s really not good enough an answer tbh.
Every squad has to deal with injuries. What if Partey is out longer than projected? What if Martinelli takes months to find full fitness? What if Auba faces an extended period out injured?
Injuries and suspensions just isn’t a good enough excuse for the shiiitshow we are witnessing.
Let’s not forget that Partey and Auba both played in the horror shows at home to Leicester and Villa
Transfer window will be closed.
How often have we had our best 11 on the pitch this season?
Can you blame Arteta for the fact that we only have one real quality midfielder in the squad and he's been unavailable for most of the season?
What manager would be willing and available to come to us, in the position we are in right now that would guarantee an improvement?
We are where we are based on a decade+ of mismanagement throughout the entire club, the main aspect of which that is affecting us right now being wasting money on the wrong players, overpaying and not coughing up enough at times when we needed to sign real quality.
Who knows what will happen, no one has a crystal ball, my gut feeling is that bringing in a new manager right now could lead to us getting relegated when in fact Arteta will steer us back into mid-table over the next 2 months. Could I be wrong? Of course, maybe experience is what is required here but that could backfire even worse too.
I agree with all you are saying, until the last paragraph.
I don’t think this season is reflective on Arteta’s abilities as a manager. I think there’s a good manager in there but this job is too big for him right now.
Arsenal are rotten to the core and need a manager with experience of turning things around. Even as Pep’s protege he’s never experienced anything close to this.
For the short term we just need someone experienced and respected to get a reaction and get us out of this mess. Like Hiddink did for Chelsea the 2nd time Maureen got sacked. He got them to 10th or something like that and they hired Conte afterwards.
I’m always thinking long term with Arsenal but we have to think short term now. Our premier league status is in massive jeopardy

You could well be right, it's just my gut feeling that Arteta will turn this round, especially when we have Partey, Martinelli, Saka & Auba on the pitch together and I'm not sure any top quality/experienced manager will even want to come to us in this situation.
