We aren't boring persay. We certainly aren't as boring as LVG n Jose days.

However teams have worked out how to stop us now. They are respecting us more and playing with a deeper line.

No, I don't enjoy our style..
Nor did I enjoy it under Jose, Louis. Moyes, or the last two or three seasons under SAF.
I don't know the solution I'm afraid.

What is the United way? We crossed the ball a lot under Fergie. Is that the United way?

It isn't Ole fault we missed near open goals every game now is it? Only Man City missed more big chances than Man Utd and we are joint 2nd for goals scored.

Leicester City away Rashford misses 2 sitters I would expect to score. Liverpool away Fernandes and Pogba all they had to do was not hit it straight at the keeper from a few yards out and they somehow managed to do it. Today all Cavani had to do was score an open goal and he hit it passed the post and then again at the end. If I was in charge of Man Utd I would fine Cavani a weeks wages for the day after that.

Like I said the other day, football is a results game first and foremost, and we are currently sat 2nd.

It's much easier to assert a style of play when results are going well than when they arent

52, I feel the same. It’s why I’m not a fan of Ole, just because the previous managers have set the bar so low doesn’t mean our performances under Ole are good enough.

It’s not a case of working out how to stop us. The fundamental problems we have with regard to style are a coaching and management issue.

Is that instead of the whining pathetic little b1tches who complain about everything?

I did enjoy a lot of our performances in the period immediately after the original lockdown. By and large though, it's been pretty stodgy and just trying to squeeze by. Which isn't a sustainable way of playing and getting consistent results

But even when results have been going well the style of football still hasn’t been great. If it’s all about results then we should just appoint Allegri, as he’d get better results than what we are seeing.

But the results aren’t all the important to me. And better, more attacking and dominant performances would likely lead to better results anyway.

I reckon Ole would have scored some of the chances we had in our last 3 away games we failed to win. It isn't tactics when you miss 6 sitters you expect even 3 year olds to score. The thing since OGS took the job we are near top of the league for shots and shots on target and expected goals and big chances created. We always been near the worst in conversion rate since Ole got the job though permanently.

Not really, some nice individual play at times but that seems to point to individual ability rather than any coaching.

I’ve always stated I don’t believe Ole is good enough although I will accept he’s done well to a degree. The fact all 4 managers post Ferguson have delivered football that isn’t particularly entertaining while also being quite different in their styles would suggest the club have no real idea of what sort of manager they want at the club which we’ve all known for years.

We don't exactly give ourselves the best chance to break these teams down though with the way we play and it's not just down to our players being off form, it's more than that.

Teams will be difficult for us to break down if we continue playing without intensity and risk on and off the ball.

Although we need better players brought in, there's no reason why the players we have can't attack (defend as well for that matter) as a team, retain and move the ball, combine with each other, move off the ball better than they do and create more clear cut chances as a result.

Sir Alex would need half a bottle just to sit through the anti football you’re serving up now.

Anyone who says they enjoy our style are lying.

We can't play basic pass and move football, the tempo is too slow, movement so static, barely play any 1-2s or make passing triangles.

This isn't helped by us conceding midfield instead of trying to dominate it.

And there's absolutely no reason why the collection of players we have should be desperately defending for our lives with everyone behind the ball when we are leading in games. That is 100% tactical

We are 2nd for big chances missed and shots on target. Since OGS got the job permanently we are near 20th most efficient side in the league so we need to muller teams to win games.

With all these drawn games where we've appeared very happy with the point, the way I look at it is that we've dropped twice as many points by not winning as we would by losing (2 vs1). The days of 2 points for a win are long since gone, so I don't think we should be acting like what we have to lose is as much as, and often more than, we have to win. When it just isn't the case

What irks me is players like martial just refusing to try and beat a man and instead choose the easier option, pass backwards.
Players like awb getting in so many attacking positions and having the footballing ability of a league 1 player.
Players like Pogba, who to be honest, we all thought was world class, not having enough of a spine to carry us forward when other players are lacking a bit of confidence.
Players like Rashford, who to be fair to him has bagged us and assisted a lot of goals, seems to have his head elsewhere (up Boris's asscheeks) recently and doesn't appear to be in focus when playing for us.
Players like De gea, who's form has dropped so much the last 3 seasons that he is barely recognisable compared to the keeper he was.
Players like Maguire, who has absolutely no mental strength or will power to carry us forward, don't forget, he is our captain.

I actually think Lindleoff is the better player between these two cbs and it's actually the inability of Maguire that drags our defence down, and awb, not that Lindleoff is a top defender himself, because he isn't... Solid game today though.

I'm not for knee jerks reactions but our squad needs a lot of work, has far too many mentally weak players and far too many players who simply aren't good enough.
