Is it fack. There’s a reason Salah gets so many goals and it’s as he’s playing on the last line of defence. In a team that has always played higher up the pitch than Chelsea did. This isn’t even debatable.

I'm kinda with Darren on this but will also say the 'at their best'part is nigh on redundant in the bigger picture.

Tbh, I have no issue with people thinking Hazard's bar is higher. I probably agree, Hazard at his best can be mesmerising even if it's been a while since we've seen that.
I still don't think the gap is in any way massive though. I think some see Salah as a finisher only and don't acknowledge the impact he has when not scoring.

In fairness Salah does collect off a defender very, very often. But that probably says more about TAA's position
Yeah TAA plays higher up the pitch than facking Hazard.

The irony is this argument is like a reversal of the Lampard v Gerrard debate. If we’re only judging it on stats and consistency then Lampard wins hands down. If we’re looking at the overall picture then Lampard wins again, but you get my point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was actually thinking that, the same arguments Liverpool fans make for Salah apply for Lampard in the Lampard vs Gerrard debate, whereas Hazard's ability to come up magic in big moments and win big games is similar to Gerrard's.
But Liverpool fans, the dirty hypocrites, will have their cake and eat it and choose Salah and Gerrard over Hazard and Lampard;
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Remind us again what you used to call Hazard during Mourinho’s second spell at Chelsea?

Salah does play on the shoulder far more than Hazard ever did. Not a debate there. It's just about the only part of their game that is different in terms of positioining on the pitch though.

Hazard prefers pie charts.
Yeah and it’s a big difference, as Salah is always playing a lot higher up the pitch than Hazard. It’s the same as Silva and Pedro.

Silva played on the left for City for years. He was the playmaker that would drop deeper and come inside to link up and create, this was Hazard’s role. Pedro played higher up, where his runs in behind and production in the final third were the main part of his game, similar to Salah (obviously Salah’s much better).

Exactly and how your team is structured. You usually find Henderson or Fabinho dropping between the centre-backs to help during build-up up play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is also completely untrue

You’re centre-backs don’t split when in possession?

Nope. VVD will just pass it himself.
