I don't rate Pope. He's too loose. Plays nice shots then gets out cheaply. Reminds me of Vince.

The amount of times our players play across the line is ridiculous. They just ain't good enough.Apart from Root.. Who played at a wide one, the rest of the top 6 arent good enough its a simple has that

I hardly watch them these days. because of the lack of bothering.. the last 5 years apart from the odd series. The England test team has been dreadful

This is an embarrassing level of batting.

They are being paid a hell of a lot of money. for no return what so ever.. Heads need to roll..

He's VASTLY more talented than Vince. I agree he's not playing properly at Test level though.

England always do this in the first test of a series. Loose shots, daft wickets falling in clumps. They're so slow to recalibrate to the pace of Test cricket.

Root is no better than Cook when it comes to leading. Seriously in the Aussie dressing room if a player go out like that. That player would need protection. But in the England dressing room. "its ok try again next time".

Look at the averages on the players in the top 6.. apart from Root and Stokes who is improving. The rest of them their averages are poor. for the main reason they are not up to it.
