Women play football?????
Lol
People seem to have very short-term memories in this country. Labour were a horrible and disastrous government and the fact people are now voting much more for labour shows how much people have forgotten how bad the labour govt was. And Ed Miliband is even worse lol. Hate him
Now im not saying the tories have done well cause its obvious they haven't but tbh none of the parties would have done well cause whatever they did the economy wasnt or isnt going to grow that much. the last general election is therefore an election that you probably wanted to lose - hence the popularity rise in labour. however people have to remember why labour lost seats.
They want us to increase spending, how when they left us with such big debts that will be tremendously hard to pay off. it cant be done the cuts are essential to growth. The fact is we're going to have to commit to these cuts for the future and eventually but slowly the deficit will decrease. this will then give us the opportunity to spend more and that is when the economy is going to grow fast.
People have to remember that an economy doesnt take 1 or 2 years to improve. After the recession we just had and currently in a double dip it will take years before we can have an economy with a growth rate of 2-3%. im guessing well into the 2nd term of a tory govt.
If labour are voted into power in 2015 they will ruin the work of the tories by spending and borrowing too much and the debts will increase again, this will increase tax rates on the rich and then they'll be forced to make redundancies causing unemployment to rise. benefits will increase. we will therefore lose productivity forcing us to import more causing inflationary pressure and therefore a drop in the economic growth rate. So it will be disastrous if labour are put in control
Conservatives do need to back their ideas up and maybe should slow down with cuts (but not too much) otherwise they risk losing the general election in 2015. Im sorry but i trust the tories much more with our economy.
By decreasing the debt it will allow us to spend more. this will allow people to hire more and therefore decrease unemployment, we increase productivity and therefore sell more exports and inflation slows down. economic growth will therefore grow. this will take years to occur though due to the large debt labour left us in.
I just think we shouldnt just keep switching parties if we dont get out of a dark era of an economy. we need stability in the government
sorry for this rant im just fed up with peoples short term memories of a poor labour government and now everyone trusts them again.
also people say we shouldnt give tax breaks to the rich but by doing that it will give more incentive for them to hire. and then more people get jobs and if they impress they get pay rises, and more are given jobs
if the rich are punished for their success they'll be forced to cut people and unemployment will rise. nothing will improve

Sorry mate, I have to disagree on the fact that the last Labour Government was horrible What is often forgotten with the economic downturn was that it was an international crisis and one that was nye on impossible to avoid. Don't get me wrong, we do spend
More than we bring in but that is a staple of modern governments - and something that can be traced back from Neville Chamberlin through Thatcher & Major to today. To say Labour were frivolous because they were spent up doesn't make them horrible as they were given the mandate to spend in three separate General Elections.
You must consider how far modernised this country became under that Government, and the benefits in Policing, Social Security, Business and general livelihoods that this spending brought. Not to mention the solutions in Kosovo, NI & Sierra Leone which were all led by Britain.
However, I would agree with you (despite being a liberal socialist) that Tory economic policy is probably the best at the moment, however the rate of cuts needs to be halted.

It's happening, I told you first
No you didnt jet told us the other day lol
I said before that, I translated the article from German I remember it as clear as day
punting
it was an international crisis but what labour did with the spending just made it worse. they dramatically increased out debts and at some point we have to pay the debt off otherwise the economy will keep on falling. we havent got the money to spend anymore and we cant afford to increase our debts anymore by borrowing more,
We all knew tho, waste imo, think he would have done a job for a mid table team ie villa...too young to go to china imo
No the labour goverment did spend to much but that is exactly what happend everytime you need conservative to come in one term in every 10....
however the torys have tried to cut this way to much and the labour sytem of slowly cutting the spending over two terms whould have been alot due to the euro crisis even the torys said so
'at some point we have to pay the debt off otherwise the economy will keep on falling. we havent got the money to spend anymore and we cant afford to increase our debts anymore by borrowing more,'
I agree with this 100%.
My problem comes in the fact that Labour a) were given the mandate to spend, as it was needed in the post Tory era, and that spending modernised England dramatically, b) every single Modern Government overspends - just look at Americas debt ceiling crisis last year and c) no one could have predicted the crisis on that scale.
Considering these factors, I think Blair's era of Government (perhaps not Brown's) gets a rough deal thats all.
i agree
blair imo is labours best ever leader however brown was awful. he didnt do much good other than stop us going to the euro
and wigan yes labour may have needed to spend a decade ago but they still want us to do that. how can we continue to spend when we havent got the money to do so.
the tories may have gone too fast i agree however the tories are doing it the way we have to do it.
and tbh labour were apparently going to make these cuts too
I dont trust any of them, lieing, scheming 's the lot of them
On a plus side we are getting a dominoes
and also 2008 onwards we should have stopped the spending
maybe we needed to spend between 97-07 but our economy wasnt in a financial mess. when we entered recession we should have started paying off the debts cause now we'd be in a better financial position
you mad bro tony blair labour best ever leader
sucking us up to the amaricans, leading us into a war nobody wanted and spending more money while tryin to get us into more dept
moses is staying at wigan next year
