Chelsea’s to lose, they are the best team in the league by a distance.

You should include Spurs and West Ham in this list

How are City weaker??

We finished a handful of points behind you last season without any quality central defenders.

Now that position is stacked I don't expect the same result.

City
Chelsea
Liverpool
United

Expect a big gap between top two and third and fourth, and a big gap from United to the rest.

If you had a decent manager, this would be very different.

No chance it's Chelsea's to lose. How is it?? Lukaku won't give them an extra 20 points on his own.

We didn't have the title trident though:

Varane
Sancho
Ronaldo

Sorry but if you can't see that they're worth an extra 20+ points to us then you're just being biased. Yeah I'll admit Liverpool will get top 4 but you will not finish above us.

Aguero is gone, no replacement.

Too many midfielders not enough goal scorers.

Didn't need Grealish.

I can sort of see the argument. Aguero, even without playing much offers you something far different to what they've got or had on the pitch and they lost him, whereas Grealish fits in reasonably similarly to a lot of their other attacking talents.

I don't know if I agree with that, but I think there's an argument that could be made.

Realistically though its Culer's list, I don't know what we expected

Aguero going makes little difference to last season tbf.

You already had an ageing elite striker, signing another one seemed a bit moot. Sancho and Varane good bits of business though.

But your manager is where you fall down.

You can have the best car in F1, but if it's being driven by your mum, you still ain't winning anything.

Cavani is nothing on Ronaldo. Also, CR7 can play every week with his freakish fitness.

We have far, far too many goals in the side to not win it. We could be 2-0 with 15 minutes left and win 3-2 by sending on Cavani, Greenwood and Martial for example.

We haven't addressed one of our biggest areas of concern, a proper DM, we have however strengthened defensively and that should hopefully turn 1 or 2 of those last minute dropped points from last season, in to wins this season.

Doubt we'll win it, Chelsea & City 1 & 2, I think we will finish 3rd over Liverpool though. Cant imagine it'll be by much though. Think our 11s are pretty close, but we have better depth. Pool fans will likely pick the other way around

They have let a world class goalscorer in Aguero leave and not replaced him. To say they won't miss him is nonsensical because they don't have that option to use off the bench anymore.

I don't get this obsession over our midfield. When Liverpool won it they just had industry, not quality, in players like Henderson, Milner and Wijnaldum. Fred and McTominay give us that same industry and possibly a bit more quality in terms of goals with McT too.

Also don't forget we can call upon Matic, multiple time EPL winner, when we need him. His experience will be key.

According to Google he played 12 times last season, scored 4 and assisted 1, in the league. Over the last few seasons he has also missed significant periods of time with injuries.

One of the best strikers the PL has ever seen, just not recently

Morning pal.

Won't happen. If a team can amass more points than us this season then they'll deserve the crown.

We will win it I think.

You miss my point. They've let him go and now they don't have any goalscorers in the squad. Maybe Ferran Torres when he's older but not now.

Their fullbacks during their title winning season contributed to a hell of a lot of their goals, i think like 30 or something between them, we don't have that. We play completely differently to them

Thats only direct contributions too, didn't bother looking for things like key passes or any of that, but the main point is that we don't play the same so comparing midfield with them is dumb

Which game did we lose??

Saints bullied you last year at their place, we got a point. Nothing wrong with that.

Wolves we beat 1-0. We weren't great but champions play badly and win.

Haven’t they just won their last two games 5-0?
