I didn't see enough of the game last night, but Ronaldo didn't look too comfortable down the middle at first for Portugal and I think the commentators even picked up on it at one stage as well. But once he moved out to the left he looked more of a threat and got involved more.
90 points will be enough for anyone to win the league I think this season, all of United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea have dropped points already and we have only played 3 games, it's going to be close.

Yeah I think the 90+ point title wins of a few years ago, with City and Liverpool, are now gone. The league is much, much stronger and they aren't necessarily at the same level anymore. Pep has one eye on leaving and Liverpool aren't strong enough.
I think it's very naïve personally to write either City or Liverpool off given the experience both squads have got as well as the quality both teams have.
Chelsea look strong this year, United haven't looked as strong (as Chelsea imo) but have also had some good results early doors but maybe a poor one at Southampton in the grand scheme of things. It's still early doors though so plenty will happen over the course of the season.

I think that any of those 4 could win it and wouldn't bet against Leicester pushing one of them out of the top. The fans are back in the stadium, there has been some big signings and it is going to be a really competitive league at the top. What a season we have to look forwards to.

I can't see any scenario where City win it without a goalscorer. Yeah they didn't have one last year but it was a mad season, no fans and Covid fixtures etc.
Liverpool for me will get top 4 but nowhere near top. Salah and Mane are off for a month in January and you don't have the strength to replace them.
Chelsea are a myth... Lukaku will score goals but not title-winning ones. He scores when his team is already 2-0 up and doesn't do enough in big games. Before people say 'Arsenal' just remember the are 20th now. Tuchel doesn't have a proven record in winning league titles either.

I don't think City will win it this year either for that reason, they did it last year but the momentum was with them throughout most of last season. It's a new campaign this time around and I think a lot of teams will "work out" how they are playing. It does happen to most teams who win the league, it's difficult to retain the title these days.
Losing Mane and Salah throughout January is an obvious concern but it also presents as opportunity for others as well. Having a front 3 of Jota, Firmino and Elliot (for example and providing the club don't spring an early surprise signing in January which has happened before) is hardly a disastrous front 3 either and something that every team in the league will have to take into account. The core of the squad is still well within its prime as well.
Chelsea have a squad that is capable of adapting to many different situations within a game because they have so much depth and so many options. To say players like Hudson-Odoi can't get a good enough look in at the moment is a testament to that.

Yeah City won't be able to do that again.
I though Elliot was a CM? He's played next to Henderson so far hasn't he??
I still don't get the Chelsea hype. What game have they won, in the league, that really made a statement?? They finished behind us last year so why suddenly are they the real deal but we aren't??
The depth on paper of Liverpool's squad (particularly in attack) seems worse than the other sides, but looking elsewhere I don't really think it's that much worse than most of the other sides.
For instance, Gomez and Matip, assuming both wouldn't start over the season, are both decent options and I'd certainly trust them over United's and City's back up CB's for instance. In midfield, the likes of Keita, Jones, Ox etc are not bad options either. Maybe not as strong as City's or Chelsea's on paper, but certainly good enough when given the opportunity and when they aren't plagued by injury. Going forward there is a pretty sizeable drop off, but even a forward line of Jota, Firmino and Elliot I reckon would still do enough to beat many sides in the league.
As much as I agree the squad seems a lot thinner on paper than the others, it's still not "as bad" as what people would assume at first glance.

Surely Klopp sees Elliot as a CM though? I thought you'd use
Jota
Firmino
Minamino
With Origi
Just talking about Liverpool's lack of depth up front, why isn't anyone looking at City's??
From what I gather they will use Torres as a 9 and Jesus has played there before, albeit badly.
Imagine if they got injured or one of them did? Who would they bring off the bench?? Delap????

Elliot has played CM throughout pre-season and so far this season but he's also played the majority of his admittedly short career as a wide attacker.

It’s Uniteds title to lose TBF 😂

It is. We have too many goalscorers in the team and X factor players

Delap????
