If Wood's fit next summer, I don't see Curran playing ahead of him.

I like Vince. He was unlucky to lose his place last time considering his last innings as a test player he got 70 odd. Not many lose their places after making that score.
i wonder why batsmen get more flexibility in terms of their obvious weaknesses and how conditions impact those weaknesses. We got to India with x amount of spinners and knowing that quick bowlers may not get as much out of the wickets, yet we have very little flelxibility when it comes to how players bat on certain pitches. Keaton Jennings has a decent record in the sub continent. So play him ahead of Burns over there. James Vince on pitches that don't offer as much sideways movement and have good bounce will score runs. He won't in England in April against bowlers who swing it. England play Curran ahead of Wood because they suit the pitches/environment more, why not do that with the batting,,,,,

It's a legitimate question. It seems (potentially with some justification) that the management think batters suffer more for being in and out of the team and need more consistency to avoid losing form.
Then again all our bats are constantly struggling for form, so it doesn't ever seem as though we have the luxury to pick in-form specialists.
The 'bowling squad' idea is as much to do with managing fitness as anything else.

Was Curren never considered for this series?
OK fair enough
Well played Bairstow
Must have heard me swearing at the team
Imagine my surprise when I got up this morning and the game wasn’t over. It was 36-4 when I hit the sack.

Pope is going to keep wicket due to injuries to Buttler and Bairstow (who will still bat).
Oh Leachy
Stick to the cover drives
Leach had been looking OK but got too ambitious and is out.
You just knew we'd lose a early wicket ....

Would say that 10 mins in is pretty good going by our standards.
Great knock bat bad dismissal for bairstow
Disappointing dismissal for Bairstow to end a fine innings.
Jimmy and Broad to crawl us over the 300 mark for the first time
Boland the #1 bowler in the world atm 😂
A poor (if predictable) morning. Surely at least a few more runs could have been ground out.
Road batted like he was 150*
Was rotating Johnny off strike, no game plan.
