Yeah, without a doubt. It's unfair on Crawley really, considering he's only just starting at County level FFS. He's not even had time to get his average much above 30 I don't think, and he's thrust into the top order at test level.

Hameed just doesn't look the player we all hoped he would become after that India series. Shame.

Real shame on Hameed. Looked the business in that Indian tour. But he lost his way so badly he was struggling at county 2nd X1 level.

Imo he should never have been brought back after a couple of county tons last summer. He needs to start getting serious county runs consistently before coming back to England.

As good as this is from Crawley, it's not telling us anything we didn't know already. We know he's lovely to watch when he's on it, we know he looks to score and has a lot of high class shots.

It's like Bairstow though. One score and everyone thinks he's cracked it. We need a whole run of scores, not two dozen 10s and 20s before the next innings of any note.
