Yeah, I agree with that, Michael.
F1 has been keeping me occupied from United’s miseries this season, so I’d take a re-race for sure!!
Now, I need to find another sport to distract me from United. There’s cricket, but I live in Yorkshire and from what I’ve read in the news recently, we’re all racist…

And Merc having a barrister on hand is w@nk.

Not really, I imagine Mercedes employ one and he was a guest at the race.

If true. I think that is unlikely. The procedure is lawyer before barrister.

He didn't make up any rule...he made a call
There is nowhere in the rules that states the race director can't make decisions at his own discretion
....as per what happened in SA with the "deal" being done with Red Bull regards where they would restart behind Hamilton and Ocon
You can't break rules that don't exist...that's the whole point mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He literally made up his own rule which went against the existing regulation that is in place.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The existing regulations only apply to specif instructions...none of which he gave...nor is he obliged to give....under the same regulations
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The existing regulations apply to racing.
Otherwise there would be no point in having a rulebook and it'd be a free-for-all whacky races/mario kart scenario every race.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. No point asking teams to adhere to rules if they are actually not real.

Solicitors instruct Bsrristets to act for them.
The existing regulations apply to racing.
The one regards when the safety car has to come after unlapped cars have overtook the leader...apply to a specific instruction being given by the race director
All I'm arguing here is that Masi didn't break rule 48.12....as he didn't give the instruction that rule states
Whether he is guilty of anything else is up for debate...clearly...but he didn't break that rule, and I'm finding hard to see how Mercedes have a case, if Masi didn't actually break any rules

One Mercedes protest rejected - the one about overtaking before the restart.
"Although (VER) did, for a very short period of time, move slightly in front of (HAM), when both were accelerating and braking, moved back behind and not in front when safety car period ended"
