Raging mate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Seems more like he's trying to convince himself more than anyone else
Did anyone see Bernie’s interview on Sky Sports.
Man couldn’t hide his hatred of Lewis.
‘It’s only right Michael keeps his record of 7 wins’
I’m paraphrasing, but it went like that, oh and ‘It’s great to see a new champion’
The mans turned into a fool. I know he loves Shuey.
But records are there to be broken. Nothing will diminish Shueys legacy.
But I thought that interview was outrageous. Not even attempting to hide anything.
He has barely a single brain cell left. He always comes out with the opposite to what everyone else is thinking. How he was part of F1 is a mystery going by his lack of intelligence.
https://www.racefans.net/2021/12/13/race-controls-strange-decision-on-lapped-cars-nearly-cost-me-podium-sainz/
Poor Sainz sees Verstappen allowed to pass and he is sandwiched behind backmarkers.
Also people saying Sainz wouldn’t have made much of a difference when Ocon being there previous race meant Hamilton front wing had a hit.
Also remember when Alonso blocked Hamilton costing him a race win yet Verstappen doesn’t have that issue as the stewards take any car behind Verstappen out the way.

It truly is amazing what has happened.
And they just expect the fans to just accept this kind of ‘decision making’.
Again, Max is a great Driver, nobody should have a problem with him being a World Champ.
And he did nothing wrong, it’s all on the officials.
Mercedes are culpable as well, as RedBull out did them on strategy, and Merc were slow to respond.
The Perez moment helped a lot. Was a great moment of racing.
But the officials have lost a lot of integrity and hurt the sport.
Sure we are all talking about it, can’t wait for the new season. Going down the route of ‘well any publicity is good publicity.
But seriously, are the F1 guys happy with this?
Is this how they want the eyes of the world to see their product?
And then they wheel out, the Dino Bernie, with his stupid take.

Masi showing he is a cheat.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
See if you actually read this, there is an interesting comment within it regards what happened at Eifel, which is somehow being used to incriminate Masi
"Despite Norris’ car being recovered quickly , the Safety Car stayed out for five laps, which drew complaints from some drivers."
Why did it draw complaints...."the Safety Car period was a bit longer than what we would have normally expected."
So there it is....in back and white
The Safety Car was out for 5 laps at Eifel...yet the drivers complained about it because it was an usually long time for it to be out.
Fast forward to Abu Dhabi......Latifi hits the wall at the end of lap 52, so there is a full 5 laps of the race left.
Mercedes gambled on the race ending under the safety car... which would have had to have been out on track for a full 5 laps...which was complained about as being unusually long before.
When you couple that with the fact that there was a general agreement made between the teams and the race director over the last few years, that the race director should endeavour to complete the race under green flag conditions.......and also couple it with the fact that before the race, when Masi was asked if there was an incident at turn 14, what would be the likely scenario, a red flag or safety car...his reply was safety car.
So all in....everything Masi did...is totally inline with what he should have done given what the drivers have complained about previously, what the teams have agreed, and what the man himself said before the race
You forgot one thing, he said you are not allowed to unlap yourself and then a few seconds before safety car is coming in he says certain cars can and then the race starts but what got Masi is the fact he didn’t let thr cRs ahead of Sainz unlap themselves or Sainz allowed to overtake them.
If Max got the same treatment he would have had to find like 4-5 seconds on Lewis in last 2 sectors to win the race.
Mercedes complaint has to be Max should have had to overtake those cars he was behind like Sainz. That would have meant Hamilton would have had the gap to win the championship but its funny Sainz is the one that had to try to overtake them instead.
Masi basically wanted Max to win so much he forgot about all the other cars in the race. Masi job isn’t to let 1 driver get treated differently to everyone else but that was what happened.
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-autosport/1535951/Ferrari-Carlos-Sainz-Abu-Dhabi-Lewis-Hamilton-title-race-f1-news/amp Sainz had hard used tyres but he had to defend like mad for no reason behind backmarkers lol. He should have been alongside Verstappen at least and if they allowed Max to go through then technically they should have allowed all the cars behind to go through.

Masi was trying to get the race completed under green flag conditions....as he and the teams had agreed to try and do over the previous couple of seasons
It is also normal practice for all the cars to unlap themselves, but given the time constraints, this was not possible if the race was to finish under green flag conditions
So Masi met somewhere in the middle.
Can have the moral debate for weeks on end about that.....from what the stewards and FIA are saying, it was within the rules...and I again reiterate that the teams have had a general agreement with the race director for the past couple of years that he should endeavour to prevent races from finishing under the safety car if at all possible.
For me this is where the issue is ..teams asking for stuff and complaining about stuff all the time.
Quite happy for the FIA to bend the rules if it suits rhemz but then wanting the rules to be adhered to...to the letter, when it doesn't suit them
There has to be consistency ...on both sides
Can't have team bosses pleading the race director not to deploy safety cars and such like....can be asking the race director to get the safety car in quick sharp so as not to finish the race under it.....and therefore can't have the race director making unusual calls, so as to try and appease all the requests that have been out to him, from the teams, in the past.
If the rules are the rules....then everyone....everyone should stick to them
Which is why Hamilton should be the champion as Masi broke several rules. What is funny a year earlier he did what the rulebook says and this year he does the opposite to the rulebook just so Max can win.
Mercedes made there decision not to pit based on the rulebook which FIA disregarded.
They should change the results for every race if Masi is allowed to change it for this race.

Lance stroll wasn't allowed to overtake the safety car so that Max Verstappen can win the championship.

It's not a joke when I say Hamilton fanboys think every other driver should just get out of the way and let him win. It's genuinely what they want!
The funny thing he has had pretty much exactly that for every one of the last 8 years yet still he failed to win the title in two of those years!
Michael it didn’t. Masi broke so many rules to get race started and did soon after saying backmarkers can’t overtake. Jolyon missed the fact about Sainz not getting the same treatment as Verstappen.
