The leagues by, barring some sort of miracle.
We’re not going to go on a run of form from this point that’ll overturn a deficit.
Jotters for Gio
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You did say that about Gerrard tho.Early days yet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I did and he should have been gone in March 2020. I still maintain that he should have went then, despite last season.
Early days or not, it’s clear he’s a diddy.
Not much positives to take from last night. As comprehensive a win as you see in this fixture. 3 going on whatever they wanted.
Only solace is the lead is small but its going to need a drastic turn around in form to get Rangers back on top. I'm not sure if it's head or heart running my belief Rangers still win it. We'll see.

in lennons first season we hit a point where we were outstanding, we won 3-0 at celtic park, won in the cup against rangers, we looked superb.
rangers fan in my work said to me that we were flying but hadn't hit a sticky patch yet, maybe this is just rangers and we have still to have ours.

Aye but we had a proper manager in Walter Smith in charge then and not the clueless diddy we have occupying the dugout now.
he had good results prior to xmas and got rangers through what i considered to be a very stick run of fixtures.
Rangers next 4 in league:
Hearts at home
Hibs at home
Dundee united away (after dortmund away)
Motherwell at home
Celtics next 4
Motherwell away
Aberdeen away
Dundee at home
Hibs away (after bodo away)

Don’t disagree with too much of that what you’ve said rats-midfield is where the big decisions have to be made. Your back 4 are more likely now to be Tavernier, Goldson, Bassey and Balogun until Helander is fit. Your front 3 will be Kent, Morelos and Diallo. Midfield is where the decisions come. Aribo will play, as will Ramsay. Jack looks likely to play now-can he stay fit? Davis or Kamara would be the other options. Kamara has regressed from what I can see, and Davis is coming back from injury. At his age, that’s not that easy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Aye that's pretty much all bang on the money.
Rangers' lack of quality in the squad has been made obvious this season. Too much dependency on both old and young players plus bosmans. We can't afford to go and get players in their prime. With the young players there comes inexperience and with the older players injuries.
I think Rangers blown the lot on trying to stop 10IAR and have nothing left after that.
Ramsey is obviously a huge gamble. It could go any way from roaring success to monumental failure or limping along making the team some weeks and not others.
Loads of people saying Jack is finished but that always happens with a long term injury to someone who's always injured
Balogun and Helander will limp their way and take turns covering for each other with Helander first choice. He'll at least add some extra leadership at the back.
Kamara will be fine if there is another good player like Jack or Davis in there beside him. He just has zero leadership. Lundstram shouldn't be there. I'd be tempted to play Lowry more.
Up front we have Itten who is schite and Sakala who is a headless chicken. Roofe is another that's off the boil. Wright's not good enough and Kent is hot and cold but still our best winger.

I do wonder was Ramsey a signing that GVB wanted? You have plenty of options in midfield, and added to it with Glass, perhaps attention should have been given to defence? But you guys will know better than me 👍

The performances were still rotten, we were just getting results. Now we’re not even getting them, his jacket should be on a shoogly peg.
Out with Hearts, our next run might be viewed as ‘favourable’ but I have no confidence that we’ll not come out of them further behind, unless something drastic happens I.e. we get rid or the diddy manages to turn it around.

who is this about?
"I do wonder was Ramsey a signing that GVB wanted? You have plenty of options in midfield, and added to it with Glass, perhaps attention should have been given to defence? But you guys will know better than me"
Do you mean by glass players that are made of glass like Ramsey?
I think Ross Wilson was alerted to Ramsey's availability by Balogun, who has the same agent, or by the agent himself. Absolutely no idea how he will turn out but it's the best that the finances could stretch and a huge gamble. F@cking tremendous signing if it works out, disaster if it doesn't.
We did try to get Souttar in many times but Hearts were just being stupid about it but asking for £600k for a guy who will leave for free in a few months. With Balogun and Helander coming back we're not in a rush but timing meant we didn't have enough cover for the past few games. C'est la vie.
We also got the young polish international as replacement for Patterson as cover for RB so there has at least some work been put in there.
On goodwillie I'll try be clear but at risk of putting my point across incorrectly, Raith have somehow managed to make him a victim of sorts too even though it should've been impossible. Professional footballers at any level are in a bit of a privileged position and in all honesty no club should have had him on their books.
But it feels like a proper mess they've made. Alienating their fans and women in general to get a poor character but undeniably talented footballer to then cut him loose and still lose the goodwill they held with fans, women and their community. They'll have few fans much outside the Kirkcaldy area, perhaps even in it and this may be the kind of decision that does lasting damage.
Raip Rovers take a bow.
