Drogba was better in the air, and better with his back to goal (not to say RvP was bad at these). That's it for me, RvP beats him in pretty much every other aspect of the game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Heading, pace, strength, drogba had all those over van Persie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hence why I said aerial ability and playing with back to goal.
Pace? Neither were particularly fast.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Drogba had a better career but RVP at his best was better than him
Kane better than Rooney? Kane is Shearer/Henry/Suarez level at best. No where near Rooney.
Van Persie better technically, Drogba had the better career.
Neither are Prem greats.
Yeah Vardy's achievements are arguably better than Maradona's. He single handedly won a tiny team the league title through his partnership with Mahrez.

Drogba is most certainly a prem great imo. Won it all whilst playing in the prem for the most dominant team with Utd. What did he get in the end? 3 prems? A golden boot and more
Agree on the sentiments though, rvp better technically. Drogba better elsewhere. His final record is just ridiculous and skews drogbas career. Having said that, some of his best performances were when he never scored. Remember a 4-1 I think it was at anfield where he played a part in every goal without actually scoring
Aye saying Drogba wasn’t a PL great is pretty ridiculous
Depends on the criteria I suppose. Drogba’s the 31’s top scorer in the competition.
Yeah what is the cut-off for "great" as a striker in the PL & what are the requirements?
I remember when Wahl-e wasn't having any of me thinking Shearer was better than Drogba argument and blocked me.
Drogba is a bit overrated. I would consider RVP the better player and had a better peak.
Drogba is obviously a Chelsea legend, but I think there's merit in saying he's not a PL great.

He wasn’t a prolific goal scorer but neither was Bergkamp and most wouldn’t argue against him being a PL great

I think it's hard to have a sort of definitive line between being "great" and not quite being there yet. You just have a rough idea I guess. It's the same for being world class.
Andy Cole must be the most underrated striker in PL history?

You can have your opinion Nick but how many greats do you want because I wouldn't even have him top ten.
Will he eventually make it into that Hall of Fame?

Why can't there be more than 10 greats though? I mean if the PL carries on for another 50 years, are we saying there can never be any more than 10 greats?

Bergkamp was a magician, though. He didn’t make a living off of knockdowns and back passes to Lampard.
