Chris Rocks Ticket sales have spiked for his tour since the incident.

Major win for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I bet Netflix have offered him millions for the next special too. Big win for Chris.

Watch them do a film or something together asap. Nailed on.

..........but I thought that a comedian was supposed to be funny !

Both Rock and Smith with both come out of this just fine. Their PR people will spin it to the max and it will almost be like it was planned (which it wasn’t). As they say, bad publicity is better than no publicity

First one was OK, the rest were abominations, just like Will's acting. No more. Please!

no they didn't

Rock is a comedian and told a few jokes, smith on the other went on stage uninvited and assaulted him

I think he is a good actor to be fair. I know most of his films are lighthearted, but Seven Pounds and The Pursuit of Happyness show his ability.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pursuit of Happyness was decent, he was OK in it

He's a typecast actor and that's how he's made his wealth. Most of his roles highly forgettable.

His best roles? The downtrodden black man, fighting the world! Hardly testing his acting repotoire!

Smith is a great actor. Utter tosh to suggest otherwise.

He rarely stars in anything I'd give a 7 out of 10 to, never mind more than that. What even is his best movie?

His performances are irrelevent to quality of the movie he is in.

In which movies did he play this role?

Also, apart from downtrodden black man, which movie roles do you feel would test an actor's repertoire? Is it an easier role to play than any other?

Surely he's not that bad, is he? He's not a top top actor IMO, but he's pretty good all the same.

Hes been a leading man for the best part of 3 decades now. Of course he's a good actor.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's a big box office draw for playing the typecast, action hero.

Nothing to do with his acting ability, two clear distinctions

Arnie was a big box office draw in the 1980s and 90s, he was not the greatest actor. The parallells are the same or similar.

There is a clear market for the likes of Will Smith, people with your taste are it!

Will smith broke barriers, he was the first black leading man in bonafide block buster (you can make the argument eddie murphy had been doing that in the 80's) but in terms of big budget films smith got that title first

You an idiot. Smith is 3 time nominated, 1 time academy award winning actor.

You dont last with his longevity in your 50's if youre a mediocre actor ffs.

Fack me, Will Smith might be a nobber but there is zero doubt he is one of the better actors of our generation.
