Not sure why it’s a wasted opportunity. Once you get to this time of the season the league table doesn’t lie. Over the season we have been better than the likes of Leicester, Palace and Villa but haven’t managed to overhaul the 7 teams above us. We are where we deserve to be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Erm we'll ignore the opening 3 games where we deserved at least 7 points and got none
Throw away a 2 goal lead vs Leeds
Don't even test Newcastles keeper for 70 mins
Add in those above us dropping points today
Nope can't see why this would possibly be seen as an opportunity fumbled
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just don’t see it tino
We lost a two goal lead against Leeds we turned around a two goal deficit against Villa. And don’t you think the likes of West Ham and Man Utd had games they should have won and didn’t
If the games we didn’t play well we played better and the games other teams didn’t play well they didn’t play better then yes the league would look better. We deservedly won at Spurs, does that make us better than them? Brentford deservedly won at Molineux does that make them better than us?

Honestly don't think we are much better, if any better, than the likes of Palace and Leicester regardless of what the table says and certainly more their level than the seven ahead of us. Only difference being that we have set up ultra negative with up to eight defensive players in games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So by this logic, Chelsea are no better than us then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eh? Lost me. It has nowt to do with points. Just performance in general. Does anyone actually think we are closer to Spurs than Palace performance wise?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You seem to be implying that the league table is no indicator of performance Cinci if you reckon we're no better than Leicester and Palace. Points gained and league position is what is all about, always has been for 140 years.
And if you reckon we're not in the same league as those above us, you couldn't have seen how arsenal and Man U played yesterday.
As things stand we are 12 points ahead of mid table which was many people's expectations for this season, and 2 points off European qualification. Games in hand might change that a little but not enough to stop it being a really good first season for Bruno. We've had some disappointing results and some disappointing performances, but apart from City and Liverpool, what team hasn't
Totally agree with that DJ and what a first season for Bruno.
However, if we are to progress then Bruno must get his Wishlist and then he has the chance to move the club forward. He has made mistakes but overall he has done as well as could be expected with what he had.
I have to say that some of the recent recruitment has left a bit to be desired so that side of things needs to get it act together.
Also, I feel that we have in the main we have had better football to watch, but with some awful exceptions.
Onward and upward.
West Ham losing at Brentford. With Utd Losing yesterday the race for a European place is still alive

Yeah I don't think league tables tell anywhere near the whole story goldi. Just having watched us all season i just think we have rarely been impressive and certainly not played to the standards i would associate with a side qualifying for Europe.
That isn't to take anything away from the season of course, Bruno has worked miracles in my opinion and deserves to actually be backed next season with some proper strengthening.
Bit of a sickener seeing other results this weekend
Next game for us and West Ham is Burnley
True Bute. If we had won at Newcastle without Neves, Jimenez, Podence and Dendoncker which very few people expected we would, then we’d now be 6th
Game just highlighted the stupidity of having only three midfielders at the club more than anything.
Very few people probably expected Newcastle to win without Callum Wilson, Joe Willock, Kieran Trippier and Issac Hayden.
Great game between City and Liverpool and the title remains wide open. And Wolves will have a big say with games against both of them in the last fortnight of the season
Gets a bit boring when our fans act like we are the only team that get injuries.
Yeah, we have had a few but others have had a lot more. Leicester were decimated for half the season for one.
All injuries do for us is highlight the hopelessness of our squad depth in key areas.
Would not have predicted us, United, West Ham and arsenal all losing this weekend, only Spurs have taken advantage. European hopes revived for another couple of weeks at least.

Didn’t realise that. Strange that the bookies made Newcastle odds on favourites if few people expected them to win
With have been underdogs with the bookies a lot this season.

The same odds were predicted whilst Podence and Dendoncker were expected to start. So we weren't odds on to win anyway.

Still, it's good to know you expect Wolves to lose everytime the odds tell you so. Some of that positivity from you.

We are underdogs most times we play away from home. So basically, no one ever expects us to win away.
Anyway, we need to be keeping an eye on Leicester.
Noticed that Inter Miami won 3-2 last night and Campana scored all three of their goals
Wolves u23 and Women's teams were in action today.
The U23s won 1-0 at Peterborough in the league cup quarter final. Chem Campbell made his first team debut on Friday and was back at this level today and scored the only goal.
Wolves Women won 2-0 to clinch their Northern league championship with 4 games to spare. They will now face a play off against the winners of the southern section and the winners of that will earn promotion.
