Masood gone 55/5

Must be the worst decision not to enforce the follow-on in cricket history?

Another possible points penalty if Rooneys agent paid the wages for one month.

This is the Mail talking about a possible 3-point deduction for illegal payment of wages. You would think, if this is indeed possible, that the EFL/FA would just be relieved that players were paid. Does the source of the payment matter that much? While I've no doubt we could withstand a penalty like this it's just another potential kick when down. The true culprit is Kirchner but he just walks away from it like Morris did.

Just digressing for a moment. I could never understand Rooney's commitment to the club being based on Kirchner taking over. Thinking more about it I suspect the personality of the buyer was not in fact important to Rooney - just the timing. If Kirchner had completed WR would have had time to get things done but with K pulling out R was left with yet another pitfall; one too many, I guess - hence his calling it a day.

There is now a full comment by the agent's company (on legal advice) concerning the loan (which was made to Kirchner) and it sounds as though there should be no problem for DCFC.

No problem like our EFL ‘approved’ amortisation method?

No problem Chicago.
Tommorow you will wake up and find that you really live in Dallas, and that it was all a dream.

I mentioned on here a couple of weeks ago that I had been told the Stretford’s company had paid the wages last month. I am now told that the plan was to use Kirchner’s cash to buy DCFC and then Stretford would effectively act as agent for all incoming signings to siphon cash out of the club. Similar to what Morris accused Rush of doing. Once Kirchner’s dodgy money failed to clear the plan was off and Rooney went with it.

From the DET.
Latest Derby County transfer news from DerbyshireLive as interim manager Liam Rosenior reportedly has as many as ten new signings lined up ahead of the club's takeover going through.
Among them are Irish midfielder Conor Hourihane, a target following his departure from Aston Villa, as well as Preston's Tom Barkhuizen and Stoke defender James Chester. That's according to the Mirror 's chief football writer John Cross, who also says Derby believe they can renew the contract of popular. Terry

Derbyshire have declared. Sussex need 342 runs to win.
Just starting.

Sorry I missed off Curtis Davis.
Also : It is said that Derby have put together a budget and "proper plans" for the transfer market, with all ten of their targets falling within range. The EFL are also "ready" to give green light to transfer proceedings. That number would bring Derby up to 17 contracted players for the new season. It is unclear whether than number includes contract renewals or will be purely made up of new faces.

Derbyshire on the cusp of snatching a defeat from the jaws of victory with their totally bizarre decision to bat again yesterday,

Sussex need 90 off 18 overs, with 8 wickets in hand.

All over at Sussex. Madness
First win in 19 matches, and we gifted it.

That takes some doing to score 500, declare twice and lose!

Quantuma statement just now: they are in receipt of payment from Clowes Developments. A small number of issues remain which are expected to be resolved tomorrow and they expect the deal to be completed on Thursday.

Good!
I'm looking forward to the new season and new chapter in the history of the Rams.
Coming up to the 1st game - the 1st anniversary of my dad dying. He'd never have believed what's gone on over the last 10 months.

Still not done but assuming it is completed today, hats off to the relevant lawyers and others who will have been working 24/7 since the targeted completion date was announced (well, maybe not 7, yet!) Yes, they will be paid and paid handsomely but credit where credit is due.
