Its going to get very hard from here on,
If we lose too many, because we will restricted to what we can do if we don't pay 100% of the debt.
The ftefl will scrutinise everything.
No big payouts, on transfers and salaries,
so we can't expect to be challenging for promotion anytime soon.

Have we still got to pay Arsenal £8 million for Bielik?

Not a bad player when fit, don't think we will see him again as he thinks he's too good for Division 3.

Glad to hear the administrators finally got it right.
I assume you're all happy with Clowes? Hopefully,
the only way's back up now. Too good a club to
be down for long.

This is the first time I have felt confident in a would-be buyer. Here is someone who has actually put money in and BEFORE getting preferred status and yet some (on another board) are having a go at him. Unbelievable!

I'm hoping Liam has accepted the interim post on a nudge and a wink that the permanent post is his if he wants it after completion.

Ashley, for all his wealth, has done nothing to help. It seems to me that all he wanted was the cheapest possible buy solely with a view to ultimate profit without caring one iota for staff, creditors, supporters etc. Otherwise he would and could have done something concrete ages ago. Appleby has at least made it seem that he was seriously interested but only Clowes has grasped the nettle and realised that something HAD to be done and done quickly. Kirchner - well the less said about him the better.

Even if Clowes is not in this for the long haul we should be forever grateful.

Well said! I've not seen the anti Clowes post, what exactly is being criticised?

Ashley's antics / approach shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone which is why he wasn't on my list of PB.

Looks like baby steps in the right direction, there is one issue with the DCFC 'fans' I'm fearful of and that's giving Davies an incredibly hard time and racial abuse when things don't go well. It's going to be an ugly season and we do have our own t. wa tty section of fans, here's hoping they don't turn on him due to their own impatience and bigotry.

The sugar daddy model of club ownership works OK until they put their offspring up for adoption. It's happened three times in my 59 years of watching Derby and each time with catastrophic results for the club.

Things like - "he's a property developer and therefore only interested in flogging off the ground for redevelopment"; "the guy has no money" - carp like that, Desi.

At least give him a chance, Spart.

If he can't stay fit enough to put in consistent performances I'd argue he isn't good enough even for a pub team.

Good on his day, but a lot to prove, purses will be tight even in the higher leagues.

Depends on how you manage him. The club ruined Thorne with his rehabilitation programme and forcing him back too soon.

Ledley King springs to mind, didn't train all week but put in consistent solid performances in the PL.

All we can do is hope. I know nothing about Clowes but if this goes through he is our saviour so he starts out well in credit. Hopefully he is smart enough to see the folly of running the club like Morris did and will have a different approach which is more sustainable.

Never having been in football before, is going to be difficult to get things sorted.
Hope he just gets the right people in, on and off the pitch.
It's going to be a long hard haul.
All the very best David Plowes and thank you.

I'm sure Clowes will be OK. He apparently goes to every match, I only go to about half the matches, some of you don't go at all and we all could run a football club better than whoever is there.

Real Madrid in 3 years.

All of which were beyond the powers of Mr Morris.
Got to be an improvement on his tenure, at the very least
