Gutted. Really thought he’d hang in. Can’t really blame him but I think now most of the players we’d hope to re-sign will go too.
It’s a mess alright - just can’t seem to get a break as a fan ffs
Will dramatically affect the recruitment too most likely 😒
Thanks Wayne.
He clearly was Kirchner's man.
Hard to blame him.
Too much to handle on your first management job.
Hope we go for Jody Morris.
Liam and the rest will be taking training
Is this why his Blackpool job fell thru?
Wonder if Liam had been pre-warned ?
Him and Curtis are probably a better fit for Lg 1.

Cue the mood change on Twitter. That didn't last long at all!
Strange timing, given fans had some good news today after a long, long time. Cocu's departure and Rooney's appointment feels like four or five years ago.
This is a big blow, given who he could have recruited.I assume he's aware the budget is going to be exceptionally small, can't afford to keep him on or get the type of players he possibly wanted.
Gutted but we have to move on. Give it Rosenior if he wants it.
And to cap it all, more bad news, Scouse’s flight to Germany has been cancelled 😡
Who thought today was going to be a good day ?
Scouse furious that Wayne has gone …. I think 🤔
Do we get any compo if he's going somewhere else ?
The Derby (Rooney) vs Leicester (Vardy) 'friendly' has lost some of it's spice now.

I’d imagine he won’t be getting any notice period money and that’s it. Free to do whatever he wants. Alternatively garden leave and I doubt they’d treat him like that.

Why would he ?
I must admit I thought he had been remarkably quiet of late. A really strange decision to me...and to leave it so late...and on the verge of a new season. Got to say I'm shattered by the news. He was my big hope for rebuilding the club. To have done so well it just feels like he's deserting us. Still, onwards and upwards. Cue Neil Warnock enter centre stage...

Not reckon he deserved a family holiday after the shenanigans terry?
Agree Terry. Timing is odd. I assume he’s not overly enamoured with the likely new owner direction perhaps.
