So:

* One of the rumours circulating is that MM is attached to deal with Clowes and this is why WR has left.

* WR + CK association and failure to takeover the club has resulted in him handing his notice. WR attached to CK deal has been odd given the credibility of Kirchner.

Personally gutted but on the moan in the caller that highlighted 'it's been a circus an accurate reflection. Throwing out an unpopular shout out for consideration, Mark Warburton? He did a top job at QPR making them a stable club and probably is experienced and hardened by his experiences at Rangers to possibly handle this role.

Can't blame him, he doesn't need the money so why put up with the nonsense from prospective buyers and the administrators. Still didn't think he would go. Had he achieved promotion with Derby his reputation would have been enhanced.

If the EFL approve anything where there's a chance of Mel being even within 5 solar systems of a whiff of a say in the club then they're even less fit for purpose than I thought.

It's simply not feasible.

However...

Unless I'm wrong Clowes also own the Friar Gate Warehouse, and that's just been basically empty promises over the years while allowing it to rot, doesn't fill me with confidence.

Any other red flags with Clowes? does he like to donate to Boris and chums?

Rooney was superb last season at galvanising the squad BUT securing the club is way more important.

Possibly not! Morris was happy to sell the ground to Clowes but not Kirchner or Ashley, so he's had a big say.
But Clowes runs a successful business so I'm sure he'll do his own thing

I seem to remember Rooney saying that if CK did not get the club he would have to reconsider his options.

Well logically could we continue to pay his reputed £100k pw in L1 ??
