I do know a Phil Warne though, the best Border canary breeder in the world.
Lives in Upper Slaughter in the Cotswolds.

I well recall his address to the Fife Canary Council back in I think December '21. Remarkable chap đŚ

Are you a Fife breeder Heb?
No, just take a general interest in such things...........
Our team ATM is filled with either youngsters or old timers... who WILL get injured. That's the legacy of Liam. Not criticising, just saying. IMO Paul Warne will come good. He'll need a couple of transfer windows though ....
I do wonder if the "Warne-outers" have been influenced by the ludicrous and increased regularity with which owners are sacking managers at present - ie, it's the thing to do if things are not going well. (It's been that way for some years but it is definitely getting worse.) I guess, from an owner's perspective, it's down to pressure - financial and fan unrest. Only a few owners are prepared to hold off from pressing the panic button.
More specifically, the playing/managerial philosophies and personalities of LR and PW are diametrically opposed so maybe it's no wonder players and fans are a bit confused as to what they want and expect from their manager. Personally I was /am happy with both and I agree that we must support PW. He has a small and rapidly depleting squad who will need time. I do agree with Desi (I think it was) that if a manager does not have the players to play exactly as he wants then he should be prepared to adapt. Maybe PW will be forced, through injuries, to change his selection/formation/approach.
LR = Heinz, PW= Branston.
You pays your money and takes your choice.
Frankly, I find PW a bit Marmitey
I thought I was Gen X, but apparently, I'm a Boomer
Which might explain why I have selective amnesia about Cocu & LR. I didnt think they were THAT bad.
I think there is a large amount of history re-written after a manager has left.
Bit like people saying Bozo got all the big calls right
I think bottom of the table sums up Cocu's management credentials, but if yer pay yer pennies you can form a view.
Not up with the stats, bit didn't we have a worse run under Rooney ?
Don't think so Ang, I think we were bottom when Rooney took over but I could be wrong.
Derby sacked Cocu after one win in 11 games with the club bottom of the table, and me ready to slash the wrists.
Fair dos, UT.
It was a tough few years for many reasons, hence the selective amnesia

I've just bought 4 tins of the Branston ones and to my horror they've gone up from 70p to a £1. Rishi out.
PS What is Generation X?
80p the last time we bought some, so thats another 25% inflation in the last month
Generation X is the demographic cohort following the baby boomers and preceding the millennials.
Hope that helps, VC

Supply issue due to a shortage of a particular maize starch due to conflict in Ukraine. Full article in the Daily Telegraph about it which goes to show that on here we deal with the big issues of the day đ
