Awful news, so sorry Gem lad
I like the line up, don't think nunes is doing enough to justify a start, Sarabia neither.
Dawson and Lemina are in there and have definitely been the best of our recent signings. Interestingly the front 4, counting Moutinho, could easily have been our front 4 three years ago.
Looks like J-Lo agrees with me that Chunha is falling short of expectations regarding hitting the ol onion bag,
Not a fan of that team selection.
Playing Moutinho as the most advanced midfielder hasn't really worked any of the previous times. Not sure why we keep doing it.
Chasing the game again now.
Absolutely zero goal threat
Hmm, top 4 sides get that penalty for Pope on Jimenez and VAR rules out Isaks goal for the push on Jonny.
Desperately need the introduction of Chunha, we rarely lose when he plays.
Changes needed at half time, over to you JL
Never a foul for free kick that lead to the goal either.
That said can't argue with the scoreline really, we're lucky not to be more than one down.
Fookin Hasselbank, yeah that's a foul by Jimenez he touched his arm. Yeah Isaks pushed him but it's not a foul.
I do think we have done very well to ride the storm there. Could easily be more than one goal down. Still very much in the game.
Despite being a goal down I can't help feeling that Lopetegui will be the happier of the 2 managers.
Often, at this stage, I would be looking forward to some great substitutions but Traore is already on the pitch.
Interestingly, the pundits in the American stream I'm watching are both saying that it should have been a penalty and a red card for Pope. Obviously, it would have been given for some of the top teams.
No surprises we're struggling to hold the ball up. It's always the case when we play Moutinho as an advanced midfielder. No idea why we keep trying it. Get him off and put Cunha in there.
That said, we should have had a penalty. Ridiculous that the ref wasn't made to look at the monitor.
The more I see that penalty decision, the more ridiculous it is. There must be some sort of corruption now. It can't be a coincidence we keep getting this rubbish decisions.
It does make you wonder what Spanner is watching when he repeatedly misreads the match?

Even he couldn't miss that
Second best all over the pitch.
We get what we deserve again.
