On reflection I agree with that Tam. Last week we changed to a back 3 when we were struggling, and the wing backs then helped offensively.

Today we went to a back 3, seemingly as a defensive measure, and that just didn't work. We ended up with a defence, 3 up front and only really Nunes in midfield. We got too stretched and paid the price.

Don't want to criticise Lopetegui's substitutions too much, I think they have worked more often than they have backfired.

WTF is the point of Chunha for €43m? Yet another waste of money.

I know we are 5 places above the relegation zone, but all the teams below us bar Everton have a game in hand.

We need to find a solution to the lack of goals and fast as that’s what going to keep us in trouble. Is anyone in the U23s having a decent season that would be worth having on the bench? We’re creating more opportunities it seems, but we know from chucking Fabio in at the deep end it doesn’t always work out.

We had a fully fit Jimenez Neto and Traore all available for selection today. Potentially the best front line in the division according to one esteemed luminary, and still we can’t find the ol onion bag.

Makes you wonder if maybe we over estimated them a couple of years ago and missed out on the opportunity to strengthen?

Terrible news gem and I just can’t imagine how your mindset must be. Don’t know if it’s any consolation but I know one woman who was told she had 6 months and that was 3 years ago so who knows. Trust you are in good hands and have people alongside you to help see you through what the future holds

So sad to read this Gem. I too have known folks who have defied the odds and are still with us. Let's pray that you can be one of those also.
