See if not Rodgers....who do you want?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is exactly our frustration. That’s our boards job and they appear to have failed miserably. We should always have a small list of up and coming bright talent to approach.
Clearly they don’t.
Rodgers is an excellent manager , probably as high proifle a guy as we could attract
lets face it we were all happy enough for him to stay and gutted when he fcked off ...like the rat bastirt he is!!
I also think what soured it more was who we brought in to replace him.
on the plus side it was him that bought Ntcham , and Mickey Johnson is returning

yeah i get that but......We've just had Ange, things have changed. Had Lennon, or someone of that level just left then BR probably wontly be as bad. But Ange changed everything and i want more. BR isn't more, far from it!

Glass half full. BR made his name as a formidable youth coach? His record in the transfer market is debatable.
So if he stops talking s**te, plays to his strengths and ‘coaches’ the decent squad he is inheriting - he might have a chance.
The problem would be, the first dodgy result/performance and persistence that “the team played brilliant” … he’s in for a tough time.

I mean surely if you are slating the club for not having a list....you must have folk in mind that should be in the frame?
The problem is he's got little to no leeway. The fans don't really want him back because he shafted them.
Rangers need to be bang at it from day 1 because if they end up 4 points behind going into that first Old Firm his job will be on the line.

This. Most fans expect a vision of progression hence the roundly criticised reappointment of Lennon at the time even aside from him being an alkie @rsehole. It feels wrong to go again without saying what will be different this time.
I realise the board will only look at his record of trophies and say 7/7 will do us again thank you but there’s an enormous elephant in the room about how it went wrong last time and that being addressed.
We had Ange. We saw the promised land and liked what we saw. We’ve done Rodgers. Move on.

It's a pity that our major shareholder only watches about 3 games a season and didn't register how bad the football had become under Rodgers.
I see people posting about his domestic results before he left. Irrelevant. Beating most other Scottish teams by 2/3 goals is the minimum expectation.
It was turgid stuff.
JFK's comment about Kyogo running around looking for the ball while CCV and Starfelt pass it about is bang on. That's what will happen.

Thanks for that important clarification.🤣🤣
Maybe he's trying to get Brown back as a player. Let's be honest here, nobody goes back to take the ball off the centre backs and then give it straight back to like Broony.
Would it be fair to say he has to rebuild his reputation if he wants another Premier League job?
Up here, plans on winning for a couple of season back down for the next Leicester in 2 seasons if he can restore his reputation because the work he done at Leicester was heinous.

I’ll add to the ‘not very happy’ crew about him returning. These things seldom work out well second time round.
The football in his 2nd season was poor-too many draws at home and boring as fvck games. I know every team goes through spells like that every season, and no team is outstanding every game, but that 2nd season was dire.
His signings were a real mixed bag, and I’m hoping that we have better input similar to the signings that Ange made going forward.
He is a decent coach-in the right circumstances. If he’s getting the backing that’s been rumoured for both budget and infrastructural changes, then he’s got no where to hide.
There wasn’t any real other stand out names being mentioned. Muscat seems to be able to work with whatever Ange leaves behind according to what I’ve read. Maresca was fairly underwhelming because of his lack of experience and his 1 managerial role. Not sure about the others.
It’s up to him to win the fans’ backing again.
Oh well.
