Happy with the CB signing. The rest of our business to date looks very much like projects with future potential. Fine, but we need to strengthen the first XI, and pronto. Pretty much on the same page as the OP re fears of Lawwell’s increased influence again. At the moment we’re heading to Pittodrie and Ibrox in the next few weeks with no Jota replacement, and missing our only 2 quality defenders. Bad vibes about that.

I see on the Spurs board Spartak might be after Davinson Sanchez. Good if it get them to fack off Starfelt. Finding it bizarre any cant would want to go there right now though Starfelt has played in Russia before and he may not be of sound mind since Jacynta's departure? Still, good looking rich young man, getting yer hole shouldn't be too much of a stretch? (insert big cauk joke)

Starfelt 's a weird one. I made it clear I am not his biggest fan, but he is generally very good. His off-days thought tend to be atrocious, diving in, getting too close, getting turned. When CCV got injured, feel he really stepped up and was excellent the rest of the season, even though around him was all over the place. Let's face it, if he was consistently at his best, he would not be with us. Like the sound of the new guy though.

Celtic will be doing well to keep Starfelt, but as much as the Polish boy seems a good signing, been a few centre backs at Celtic signed for similar that haven’t done well. If he goes and CCV has any injury troubles I’d fancy our chances against your defence.

As much as our transfers seem to all be good players. It just isn’t working. Lammers is a striker doing well deeper, looks a great player but looks every bit a f forward to me. And playing him there has taken away from Cantwell’s game. As much as I’m happy with our transfers don’t like or get how we’re shaping up.

I know it's only pre-season friendlies, and it's perhaps down to the team still gelling a bit....but we are not really creating and scoring goals from open play are we?

He had it worked out perfectly as he watched Celtic win a treble

We've still got Danilo to come in, Cifuentes too possibly, so could still be big changes made both up top and to add a bit more of a defensive edge to our midfield
