I think she said she was surprised but happy about it.

Just googled it, seems her initial statement wasn’t written by her and she’s left it with her agency to deal with.

Nothing scathing but also not the “celebration between friends” the Spanish FA statement suggested she said.

No idea about their relationship or whether it was inappropriate. If it was my wife I wouldn’t be particularly happy.

I thought she said she didn’t like it, or posted something like that on a social media site.

The Spanish Federation statement released, by the lady in questions, said exactly that:

"(The kiss) was a totally spontaneous mutual gesture due to the immense joy of winning a World Cup. The president and I have a great relationship, his behaviour towards all of us has been outstanding and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude".

Seems either she’s backtracked or the Spanish FA lied.

Anyway, it seemed inappropriate, not predatory or misogynistic, he may well have down the same to Rodri has the men won the WC, then nobody would care.
