1000's of people are in prison because they lose control completely and go way overboard, like he did, (not saying he tried to kill her)

I think I get what you're saying now..

Thieves should be allowed to break in and do as they please. You agree it's illegal but you also feel trying to stop them is victimising them. Therefore if anyone wants to "just take something" which doesn't belong to them they should be allowed to and we should HOPE the police will deal with it later on?

I bet you also feel if they are caught and jailed, its probably too harsh?

You are in the minority here or just trolling. I doubt you've been a victim of crime where as I have and I can tell you spend a very long time dwelling on the impact its had on you and your family and how scary it was to have someone violate you and take things from you from your home for example which you've worked hard for and how your family could have come to serious harm!

And yes if push comes to shove I would do everything within my power to protect my family from someone coming into my property to do them harm and steal our things.

what is the legal restraining technique? Id argue the police investigated and decided it was legal ? what evidence do you have thats suggests it was illegal?

the police decided that the restraint was a fair and acceptable response to the situation as per the law.

Yes, neither should have done what they did.

If I was the shopkeeper would I retaliate,? yes. Definitely, if I see my shop beginning ransacked daily, the one I tackle would have drawn the short straw. Very unfortunate but that's what happens.

This is my point exactly, my opinion doesn't matter coz im not there , from there or been there, but if I was and I knew the woman, I might feel differently. They have every right to protest whatever they want, like everyone else. If we debate the merit of every protest, there will never be one because people, like yourselves, will try shut it down everytime because YOU don't believe in it, and it's not about you or me.

knowing the person or geography shouldnt cloud your judgement as to whether you thought the shop owner was in the wrong or the shopper.

the events that happened shouldnt be affected by the person skin colour, where they are from if you know them or not. it should be based on right and wrong.

My opinion is if that person decided to steal that guys property then his actions are not over the top. To me the shop owner is the victim and the police who investigated the incident agree.
