Guys, do we really need to take sides?

Both sides are killing kids FFS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is not a equal war. Palestine does not have a army they are being oppressed by Isrealis for years. The attack on Israel is a consequence of those apartheid policies. In what way is Israels response equal? They openly admit that they to not consider palestinians human. The unconditional backing of Israel by the West is a huge barrier to finding a peaceful resolution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Equally the Hamas manifesto has the destruction of the Jews and Israel in it and they have the means to try it as we have seen. Israel is a country surrounded by enemies that want them gone - the only thing that stops the others from wiping them out is their US backed, vastly superior army - it’s why Iran won’t aactually do anything directly, the US have a couple of destroyers out there that could wipe them off the face of the earth, so instead they (in my opinion) incite matters instead
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason Hamas manifesto has the destruction of the Jews and Israel in it is because Hamas was created to fight back against Israeli oppression of Palestinians. Hamas didn't always exist and it is Israel that created and creates the conditions necessary for Hamas to exist and subsist by their treatment of Palestinians. As I pointed out, oppression inevitably leads to violent uprising without fail. They are strengthening future Hamas as we speak because Hamas will have a lot of new recruits once this is over.

Your argument fails there and so it is not an equal war.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have our first Hamas supporter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing he said here shows support for Hamas. Such an accusation is when you want to shut someone down. I'd be careful about shouting wolf too many times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He agrees with them existing and appears to support their right to ‘retaliate’ as he sees it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're twisting what he has said. Either you understand what he has said and purposely doing so, or did not understand what he said.

You're not another RDD sock account are you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don’t be naive.

Yes he is careful not to expressly support them, because that I believe is illegal, but he is clearly in support of them. He certainly isn’t against their actions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not being naive. I have seen what he has written here and elsewhere.

What has happened is that you can't actually counter the points he has raised. So now you are accusing him of being a supporter of Hamas. In a formal debate, such tactic is called "poisoning the well".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not interested in taking sides or laying blame. Killing kids is wrong, no matter who is doing it or why.

I just don’t appreciate the tone of a lot of the messages on this subject.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's OK, you can't appreciate the tone of everything you read on the internet.

If you don't want to respond to the points made then that's fine as actions speak louder than words.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The problem is it is not really a debate with you as you are too closed minded on the matter to appreciate a different point of view. As much as you like to accuse others of being pro Israeli and believing their “lies” you come across as rabidly pro Palestinian and that they are blameless and the only ones telling the truth in all this.

It seems to offend you that others think differently. Israel have now produced audio that seems to confirm that the Rocket came from Gaza and was perhaps an accident by Hamas - but straight away you call bullschitt, could t possibly be true.

I’m with Clive on this, Israeli and Palestinian children dying because adults cannot resolve conflicts with words is beyond sad - it’s an absolute failure and both sides should hang their heads in shame
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No one is on the side of killing children.

The audio that the IDF say is an audio recording would need to be independently verified. It's not the first time they denied something and prodcuded evidence of something to shift the blame. Same goes for Hamas.

The problem started because one party thought about giving land to a third party without taking into account the people already living on that land.

This isn't the only issue with dividing land that has caused problems in Asia and Africa by colonial powers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is where people pick their historical points - you’ve gone back to 1948, others could choose 733 BCE and claim the Israelis are reclaiming the land promised to them by Moses.

This is the faaacking issue - 2 competing ideologies both claiming that the land is theirs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You could go back further. The Israelis took the land from others. Some say the Palestinians are the descendents of that group. So then we're back to square one.

Ultimately, what happened thousands of years ago didn't lead to one group giving it to a third party while ignoring the people already there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sure, so what’s your resolution, move all the Jewish people out of Israel and give the entire land to the Palestinians?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No. First Israel to comply with international law and make access to services and amenities equally available all, equal rights and justice guaranteed for all human beings in that land. Remove a lot of the reasons for conflict, and then work on a two state solution by rescinding their decision to not recognise the PLO.

What's wrong with that?

Why would anyone think a land claim from 733 BCE is valid?

Genius.

Israel have bombed hospitals before.

They also warned that the hospital would be bombed.

They also said they bombed it, but then changed their narrative.

They’ve also killed over 4200 Palestinians in 10 days.

But surely the virtuous IDF didn’t bomb the hospital… No never.

Their*
Biden probably looked at the evidence and made an informed decision on the likelyhood of responsibility. He was due to meet Arab leaders on this trip too don't forget, before your preconceived bias takes you down the rabbit hole.
Could the IDF have bombed the hospital? Sure. Could a misfiring rocket launch have hit it? By all probability it looks like the most likely cause.
But sure Kash and K7 say it was the IDF so case closed.

I'm sorry now you're being pedantic.

Hamas complicit in the fact they attacked Israelis unprovoked at a music festival and at their homes and took hostages.

Without those actions the hospital is still standing right now isn't it so to say they aren't to blame is just utter lunacy. They are very much part of the problem too. It's not just Israel.

I don't agree with the reaction of Israel but I'm not surprised by it either and neither will Hamas be. Thats what makes this so so bad. They knew this would be the reaction and did it anyway.

————————-

Unprovoked… this is comedic

They’re an occupying force in beach of multiple UN conventions

2) they’ve killing people in all year including children.

Just a small sample below

https://www.instagram.com/p/CwQgB5MIdub/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

https://www.instagram.com/p/CwW8BGhIEby/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

https://www.instagram.com/p/Cv2wFQ-IsBY/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

3) they continuously stormed Al Aqsa mosque including during Ramadan injuring and killing people in their place of worship

4) I could go in all day about children who have been imprisoned, tortured, killed including civilians from today all the way until 1948 when peace in the region was eradicated once and for all by Israel

To say an OCCUPYING force is in a defensive stance is laughable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the thing. The Hamas attack, and I'm not defending them here, isn't unprovoked.

And if you want to take it further, Israel has everyone serve in the army and can be called up in times of war. So any one above the age of 18 could be considered a legitimate target by the likes of Hamas as it is with the likes of the IDF. Both target civilians purposely. Both see them as potential attackers. They also target children.

What do you call Israel forcibly taking Palestinian men, women and children and putting them jail without charge for years? It is worse than Hamas kidnapping as at least you know why Hamas took them. These Palestoans can be taken on an IDD soldier's whims.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is the thing. The Hamas attack, and I'm not defending them here, isn't unprovoked."
Wow! Nice one there. Any idiot and his halfbreed son, all across from the stoutest pro-palestinian to his conterarch pro-Israeli knows life in the Gaza strip was not particularly pleasant. You are not defending them, but it is not unprovoked?!?!? Saying it is not unprovoked IS defending them! Not even 14 days since some of the most horrific events ever witnessed in our lifetime (including beheading babies), and it is already too difficult to call them what they are, and excuses are made for the perpetrators. Back to square one in the world of CurrentlyInPoland (and Kung Fu Cantona) : palestinian suffuring can, if only partly, justify anithying. Jews, however, can go farck themselves. Actually, anyone in Israel above the age of 18 is a legitimate target now, according to you. Mothers, fathers... It is Hamas tactics to mingle with their population and use them as human shields, I'll have you reminded.

"It is worse than Hamas kidnapping as at least you know why Hamas took them"
Have you no shame?!?! Hamas has kidnaped kids and babies, and you, apparently, know why?!?! Care to tell us which crime they committed? Yet other example that the desperate Palestinian can, but the Jew can't. And they did not just kidnapp. If only they had only done that. But they haven't, they did much mcuh more, and you know that very well. If you are too tired to account for all facts and contextualise, go take knap!

This one's for Kung Fu: " I could go on all day about children who have been imprisoned, tortured, killed including civilians from today all the way until 1948 when peace in the region was eradicated once and for all by Israel". Children being imprisoned, tortured and killed by Israel since 1948. Right, sure. What's next? Using their blood for the Sabbath ritual?!? Electronicintifada : now there's an objective reliable source...
The two of hou have brainwashed yourselves into believing Israel will deliberately target a hospital causing about 500 dead of all genres and ages, without any reason. Seems perfectly credible to you, while the Hamas monsters will find some excuses...
So here's a thought: if the Arabs, as they called themselves back then, wanted to have a say in Jewish emigration, maybe they should have saught independance BEFOREHAND, rather than as a reaction.
Now pi$$ off

Israel have bombed hospitals before.

They also warned that the hospital would be bombed.

They also said they bombed it, but then changed their narrative.

They’ve also killed over 4200 Palestinians in 10 days.

But surely the virtuous IDF didn’t bomb the hospital… No never.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They bombed a school earlier yesterday but swear down the hospital wasn't them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The corpse Biden is backing Israel BS that Palestine bombed there own. No shock there.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly, they’ve already chalked it up to Israeli lies, absolutely no consideration given to what is now looking like the more likely prospect.

Biden hopefully will negotiate a cease fire, aide, water and food to flow back into Gaza and the return of hostages.

"Why? Genuine question. If Palestinians are given their rights and freedoms, equal rights and justice like you and me then the path to peace has been opened and the destruction of Hamas has commenced IMO."

There have been numerous negotiations in the past which allow for this. As recent as the mid-2000's, which were declined.

This is the issue, Palestine will not stop until they have "their" land back, that has been made clear. Neither side want peace, they want to destroy the enemy.

No matter how many peace talks or negotiations take place these attacks will continue, which is why Israel felt the need to protect their people and isolate Hamas.

9 September 1993. In their correspondence, Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat agreed to begin cooperating towards a peaceful solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The PLO recognized Israel's right to exist in peace, renounced Palestinian militancy and terrorism, and accepted UNSC Resolution 242 and UNSC Resolution 338. Israel recognized the PLO as a legitimate authority representing the Palestinian people and agreed to commence comprehensive negotiations for the Israeli–Palestinian peace process.

This was the closest we've ever come to peace. What happened?

Rabin was murdered by his own country men, Israelis. I asked you politely to educate yourself and not comment again until you do.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who promised them the land?
Have you read what happened to the survivors of Jericho?

Short version: There were none.
So historic land thieves?

Hamas escalated this latest situation with the border attack. I know you support that attack but unfortunately it has resulted in thousands of needless deaths on both sides in record time.
