Yes, we all know ETH should be doing better but he's far from being the major issue.
I just don't know any more.
Running a football club when you are United should be relatively simple. You have plenty of clout to get the best in class at the level above the manager and then go from there. Even if you pay them millions per year it's still cheaper than throwing money away on players that don't suit or spending too much on players.
The Utd job is a poisoned chalice, why would any serious manager risk their reputation? Eth should have stayed at Ajax.
Nothing will change unless we have a complete change of ownership, this repeat, rinse, repeat cycle will continue in a season's time.
Club needs change of ownership, boardroom management, strategy, everything, top to bottom. If the foundation of the club is broken, no matter how much you try to cover it up with money on new players and managers hoping one of the $hit may stick, ultimately it will still crumble. Shouldn't take 10 years to realise this but here we are.
I’m surprised Flick hasn’t been considered, he recently won a treble and can speak English which you can’t say the same for Zizou.

Kinda agree but the chance he could have took Utd back to where they were and let's not forget the HUGE financial benefit he will have got wage wise will have perhaps swayed him? For most managers like him it might have been a no brainer ?

It really is, they've left the stadium and training ground it tatters too, I bet they still have the old CRT tv's and DVD players at Carrington from the early 00s.
Glazers out for me if they sack ETH
Ruben Amorim was on my shortlist for preferred managers when we appointed Erik, although ETH was number 1.
As others have said though.....no good will come unless we change the sporting structure at the same time.

Finances played a big part , he was moving from a predominantly selling club to a buying one so that would have been an attraction. I doubt very much he anticipated how bad our footy operation would be though. We simply needed Eth to come in alongside the very best DoF, something the ownership fail to recognise.

This is what happens when vultures buy a club in a sport they don't understand and then refuse to go hire experts in said sport to run their business for them.
Amorim is a fantastic young coach who plays attractive football. But the same was true of Erik, you're quite right.
Unless we change the direction with a proper DOF and new scouting network then it's probably going to go the same way.
Maybe we go Big Sam instead for a laugh? 😉
Relegation here you come. Have the board, media and some fans not worked it out yet! Changing the manager ain't doing anything. Same players, different manager, same chit, rinse, repeat. Club deserves championship football.
