We are on the brink of having a sixth manager in 10 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how many managers have bayern, madrid, or chelsea had over that same period?
and how many league titles, or champions leagues, do they have in the past decade?
People questioning Zidane need to give their heads a wobble.
He guarantees us a UCL and EPL if backed properly

Tis a very good point.
We still have the perception that our manager has to last 7/8 years plus to be a success. That's the Busby and Fergie Legacy though. We haven't changed and become a modern day club.
Zidane is a good coach but he won't consider the job
He carefully picks his project. I've seen interviews where he said so, also spoke about how language and speaking it matters to him.
Would be suprised if he is remotely interested.
Have no idea who Amorim is

Unless you are buying the league eclipsing the spend of other clubs I highly doubt it. The league has changed since SAF era. All the planets have to allign unless you are signing Kane and Halland level players and keeping them injury free. The issue is there are 4/5 clubs in the prem all with deep pockets. It was only 5/6 months ago spurs fans were upset with the Ang appointment...Things either click or they don't. Rodgers at Leicester city, Moyes utd, Jose at spurs etc etc etc.

You’ve just made the list too baz
Just said on TalkSport that they understand Utd have no plans to replace ETH at present.
Pep should take this job, big chance for him to prove himself as the best manager in history
He's the Sporting manager. Very very talented coach. Play great football and that club has worked wonders at unearthing talent of late.
They knocked out Arsenal of the Europa and looked very impressive.
Again it won't matter though unless we change everything else too.

So an up and coming coach from a weak league. Hmm
As talented as Eth was Ajax?;
I'll pass and persevere with ETH, thanks all the same mate!

👍
We need to do a bit of soul searching and look backwards at what made us good, my pick with that in mind would be Elo Reajkslos.
Go for Pep. He needs a project where he isn't already joining a club who are top dog. A real test of how good a manager he is.

He perhaps thought that following SAF was going to be really difficult so, wisely, opted for elsewhere. We should have wooed him after Moyes though IMO.

The Utd job is a poisoned chalice, why would any serious manager risk their reputation? Eth should have stayed at Ajax.
Nothing will change unless we have a complete change of ownership, this repeat, rinse, repeat cycle will continue in a season's time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Kinda agree but the chance he could have took Utd back to where they were and let's not forget the HUGE financial benefit he will have got wage wise will have perhaps swayed him? For most managers like him it might have been a no brainer ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Finances played a big part , he was moving from a predominantly selling club to a buying one so that would have been an attraction. I doubt very much he anticipated how bad our footy operation would be though. We simply needed Eth to come in alongside the very best DoF, something the ownership fail to recognise.
