It's not a good thing for us at all if City are found guilty. He was a huge part of that scandal given he was the commercial director at the time. Surely he could be facing consequences himself in the future?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So far it has only been clubs punished. Why should City and him be treated differently?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City's case is totally different to Everton and Forest. They have carelessly overspent out of desperation to stay in the PL.
City have been accused of mass fraud for want of a better term. These are far more serious charges so we don't know this will only be a club punishment if found guilty. It's totally unknown at this point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In the Juventus plusvalenza case, individuals were punished as well as the team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly.
Banning orders for a few select individuals at City can't be dismissed at this stage. The charges are that serious.
Some of the leaked emails of their execs are an absolute disgrace. They are laughing and joking about what they are doing which is essentially fraud. They knew what they were doing and the possible consequences and did

There’s been no suggestion he was a huge part of anything. Let’s be honest though, if he personally was potentially implicated, there’s absolutely no chance you’d have been able to hire him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was the commercial director at the time Melts. Your accusations of wrong doing essentially come down to your commercial deals being grossly over exaggerated among other things don't they?
He wasn't a very good commercial director if he didn't know about any of it. That's all I'm saying. Think it's a safe bet to assume he did.

I don't think there's any doubt it happened. I have read those email and I'm sure you have too.
The only thing you could cling to is those emails were doctored but they really don't read like they were. A 20 year old Portuguese hacker wouldn't be able to make that stuff up that's for sure. So did he have someone working with him that understands football finance?
City are 1 million per cent guilty. That's not even a debate. Whether they will be found guilty is another thing all together though as we all know expensive lawyers are good at finding loopholes.
Personally I'd feel more comfortable with not having anyone from your set up at our club with the exception of the coaching and playing staff. We will have Pep when you get relegated. đ

I’ve read them all several hundred times by nowadays d read the defence of them. That’s why I said if it happened it would have been utterly stupid by the people that did it and executives at Etihad and Etisalat in particular would be in serious trouble as they’ve perjured themselves now too.

It seems a bit of a risky move given his connection to the FFP investigation though don't you think?
….
Why? If City have done wrong they will get punished not him or us.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
These charges City are facing aren't the same as Evertons. They are far more serious as they are essentially fraud. Everton haven't hidden payments. They have been open and honest and fully cooperated. They have just been very careless with their spending and underestimated the ability to recoup transfer fees and also the impact that stupid wages has on a club with no European football and a relatively small stadium by modern standards.
We don't know if individuals at City could be in hot water yet. It's entirely possible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bang on. 113 charges. To think only the club will get done for and not individuals if they were found guilty for most of these is very naive. As you rightly said, Everton did not commit any fraud! They did not adhere to the rules set and overspent and got done. City charges different gravy.

City rightly so should be done for fraud. But I am sure expensive lawyers going to save them.

No, theres no accusation of exaggerating them, the issue is who was potentially paying them, which would have had nothing to do with him.
You’re missing my point though. If he did know of any wrongdoing, there’s absolutely no chance we’d have allowed him to take the job he has done with you.

Horses for courses that Melts.
Money was clearly being pumped in via Etihad and Etisalat among other UAE sources and disguised as commercial revenue. It's clever really....until you get caught. đ
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s not horses for courses though, it would be an entirely different (and much more serious) charge.
It’s not clever at all, if it happened as alleged it’s utterly stupid and they deserve all they get.

It's not a good thing for us at all if City are found guilty. He was a huge part of that scandal given he was the commercial director at the time. Surely he could be facing consequences himself in the future?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s been no suggestion he was a huge part of anything. Let’s be honest though, if he personally was potentially implicated, there’s absolutely no chance you’d have been able to hire him.
