Look like I was right too. Sheikh Jassim was full of crap.

............

No one argued against you. His finances were an open book on the internet.

You backed the wrong horse and don't like it.

............

I never backed anyone. The outcome was not in my control. My preference would have been Qatar but it was not to be.

Have another go.

And mine was INEOS. So why did you take such offence to what I said then? It makes no sense.

You just immediately attack anyone with a different opinion and you don't stop to think.

And thank god he was too.

I'd hate to be what you lot are. A soulless and plastic marketing vehicle for the middle East. Tinpot City.

You were more of a proper football club 15 years ago than you are now even though you were crap. 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sorry mate this is unfair.

They have changed English football. Their manager has made this league a joke due to how dominant he has been. What we once thought could not be done in the English Premier league is being done by Pep.

The owners have invested a lot in Manchester and in the process provided a lot of jobs for local people.

The above take lacks objectivity.

we should sort out our own problems first. With all due respect we are in no position to be attacking City and their owners bearing in mind our own owners.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Will you feel the same way if City are proven to have broken all of those FFP rules?

I take on board the points you have about investing in the city.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My answer to your question is above in my dialogue with melts. I don’t follow the question as one would guess most of their achievements will be tainted if they are found to have broken all of the 113 rules. As it stands, they have not and the above rings true .
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What I mean is would you still admire their achievements? There is no denying that they have been very well run since the new owners came in and played amazing football. But thoae achievements will mean little to me if a sizeable number of those charges are proven. And I feel it will make a mockery of what is supposed to be the biggest and best league in the world.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Impossible to argue against this.

As I said previously though on this thread, it does not sit well with me to take the titles from them and give it to the teams that came second. If they are found guilty, in a weird way, I will still respect the manager and the squads he has assembled over the years to deliver title after title. Relegation though they should rightly get.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't really know what should happen with those titles. In Italy I belive they were awarded to 2nd place teams?

What I think is really terrible, if the charges are proven, is the memories that will have been stolen from the players, coaching staff and fans. Take Gerrard for example. Liverpool finished 2 points behind City in 13/14 and Gerrard missed his chance to win the PL. Has City cheating robbed one of the leagues greatest midfielders? If so, they really need a severe punishment, as he can never have that time again.

But you haven't pointed out anything. That's the question I'm trying to get you to answer.

Because I wanted the Glazers out means I should have been pro Qatar? Why exactly? Because you are?

PSG n City are the most plastic soulless football clubs on the planet. Everything that's wrong with modern day football.

You haven't pointed out anything other than what a miserable argumentative fool you are.

I didn't want to become the latest ME plaything club. Dont know what else I need to do to hammer that home? Catch a flight to the US, come visit you and do a interpretive dance for you?

You're essentially arguing that I should agree with you from what I can see. That's all it is.

There's other people on here who didn't want Qatar either. Another match goer to be exact. 👍

You're getting filtered now anyway. You don't bring anything to this forum except arguments. You rarely make any interesting articles. I think you probably average 1-2 a year in total which says a lot about you actually. Nothing interesting to add only to belittle others. You can bother other people now. I'm done with you.

04/05 Juve title got stripped. 2nd place did not get it. Bill and void that season on title front.

Nah I don't care about Gerrard on a personal level. But he is probably the best example of a player possibly having trophies/memories cheated from him by City. It makes a mockery of the league.

In terms of the titles I don't really know what should happen. Probably strip.city of them and no winner.

Anyone that thinks City will get heavy sanctions like relegation, points deductions or being stripped of titles is either hugely optimistic as opposing fans or naive.

There was a decent discussion on talksport this week about it:

Thanks for sharing the above video Satnav.

Yes, this is not just FFP, this is potential bloody fraud. But hey, I suppose the chief football writer for the Independent also got there lacking legal acumen!

posted on 21/1/24

City themselves used the words these allegations are based on "Fraud allegations."

Here is a real "debate" between rival fans (one who is an actual lawyer and have done at least a scintilla of research) which will give you a flavour of what the PL charges are about. The CAS verdict effectively quashes PL's keystone charge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7reP-Y_6Es

What the FA seems to be accusing us of impinges on tax law and the Fraud Act, and possibly others. I say "seems to be" because I have no idea what the exact details of those charges entail and neither does anyone here. If it really is a continuation of the UEFA and CAS hearings, then the PL better have more convincing set of evidences than what UEFA had.

If it was fraud it would be dealt with by a criminal court, not some tinpot tribunal set up by rival CEO's.
