I’m at Franklin Gardens on Sunday but perhaps that doesn’t count
We’ll lose this one and we can almost certainly say bye bye automatic promotion.

Great! Just put on RD whilst reading through the comments.
RD on Port Vale.....'not won in the last 10'
'Managed by Darren Moore.'
Add to that Spart's comments, who gave Derby the kiss of death vs Charlton.

Who wouldn’t want a trip to Wembley?
Like him or hate him Darren Robinson speaks a lot of sense on RD and echoes a lot of my thoughts regarding recruitment.
He's compared Derby with Barnsley who have a model of signing players under 26 and selling them on. Peterborough who sign players from non-league and sell them on at a result of yo-yo-ing between the two divisions.
What is Derby's model on recruitment?
Hopefully our historical model is not the current one. It is way too soon to form any opinion of this under Clowes. Because of financial restrictions we have had very few options in that regard. It will be a fair few years before we can say too much about what his overall strategy might be.
Sadly I am heading for the Alps tomorrow so will miss 2 games. I will try to keep abreast of what is going on and will be grateful for as much match detail as possible.
What about the rugby ( should it be on?) want the scores/ don't want the scores?
Enjoy the Alps

Me. Expensive beer, pitch is so far away it looks like you are watching the game on your phone. A miserable long back if you lose.

Buy for more than the players are worth and then let them go on free transfers.
Win or lose I hate a Wembley play-off. It all feels so artificial and contrived, from the stupid pre-match pump it up stuff to the fatuous awarding of a trophy at the end. A home and away play-off final would be infinitely more authentic and exciting for me.
Academy currently beating Man U 4-1. It will take a while to rebuild but there are some promising signs. Who knows what riches, literally and metaphorically, might have come from that direction but for Morris' mismanagement? Kaide Gordon, Dylan Williams, Omar Kellyman, Morgan Whittaker, Festy Ebosele, Archie Brown, Lee Buchanan, Liam Delap. Makes you weel to think what we have missed out on.
Speaking of which.....young Archie Brown who didn't get game time with Derby is now playing for Gent (Belgium.) Chelsea are rumoured to be looking at him with a £15 million price tag.
Was convinced he was Scottish but apparently not.
Would not be the first time Scotland has clained a player with zero Scottish ancestry!
A very good win for the Academy. How much potential money was lost by having to give away those players? 100 million? More?
Each player would easily go for £10 million+. If the club remained in the Champ Knight and Bird's value would be stronger too.
Just had to play the long game and hold out for another season and half and the investment would have paid off. Why couldn't he see that?

Indeed. 23 of the 35 in the current Rugby squad not born in Scotland. Scottish grannies or a three year residency. Ludicrous and ruining the game as an international spectacle.
