What the fack is this?
Our team is miles off.
On a related point to the comments:
- Dalot is bang average. Full back is a major problem for United and it's criminal that it wasn't fixed last summer.
- Obviously Klopp wouldn't be sacked, but last year was diabolical for Liverpool and it's not really talked about enough when people compare Klopp and Pep.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We are comparing individuals, for the sake of this discussion.
Dalot isn't average. He has great energy, crossing, can score the odd worldy, and defends well.
Won’t have to listen to people drone on about Klopp after this season anyway, he’ll be just another ranieri, spent a decade in the prem and won one title, albeit spending a damn sight more than ranieri to do so

The whole ethos of Manchester United are an embarrassment atm. From top to bottom, not because of injuries. We’ve had injuries all season ffs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've finished above you 3 times in his time there. Definitely speaks volumes about the lack of consistency you've had as we've been a car crash for a decade.
As I said above it's probably the seasons where the PEDS have been tapered off. 😉

How much have you spent in those years though? You should be winning the league every season. Glazers out though.

Full back is such an important position in the modern game and he's just not good enough.

Doesn't Dalot now get regular game time with Portugal too? Doesn't seem to be out of place playing with Dias, Bernardo, Ronaldo and co.

Honestly, not really. I think individually City is ahead, and it's a testament to both Liverpool and Arsenal that they're keeping up. Individually I probably rate Arsenal's squad more than Liverpool slightly.
I think our front 3 of Rashford, Garnacho and Hojlund could be really amazing, but they still need to show it. Bruno is good, but not quite amazing level (I am talking KDB level) Mainoo is still young. the rest of our midfield isn't great. Onana a bit better recently but still not convinced by him, our strongest defence is probably Dalot, Shaw, Varane and Martinez. Martinez is good, everyone raves about him, but he still needs to prove it week in week out, Varane is slightly on the wane, Dalot is improving and Shaw is solid.
But then I look at the Liverpool squad and what Klopp gives them - they are more about the sum being greater than their parts, and their parts are good, but not way ahead of ours.
That's why when we talk about the players, and better ones required it's really the manager who gives them that final oomph and makes the difference. ETH is behind in that sense, it seems to me. Klopp and Pep are ahead in that sense (I would say Klopp more than Pep) and even though I dislike him, Arteta is showing he seems to have it also.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really? i mean i respect your opinion but that shocked me a little, especially how well our squad has coped hanging on by a thread recently! Did we not dump them out of the FA cup at their gaff with fairly rotated squad too?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was strictly referring to individual players, and I think that of course you are ahead of us, but the difference isn't that great. What makes the difference (and it's pretty substantial) is both Klopp's management and just the attitude of your players etc. Football is a team game and more about what you do as a team - of course individual bits of brilliance are great, but it's more the team ethic that really outweighs what you have - the League cup result almost being the epitomy of that.

Love spurs fans piping up cos they've won a few games. The personality of arsenal and spurs fans is almost identical. Although spurs are humongous bottle jobs in comparison to bottle job arsenal
i mean Klopp clearly instills faith and confidence in them and gives them the platform but they still have to step up and showcase their mentality, ability and potential etc. which many of them have if not all of them. Klopp doesnt do that for them.

In terms of pure individual ability, I'm not sure there's much in it amongst a lot of the players. However, as I have said before, it's a team game and more dependent on what the manger does with this players and how the players play as a team - the table doesn't lie.
It's more of a reflection on our team that there are some good enough individuals within it, but they aren't cohesive as a unit - that's down to both the players and the manager.
Ang and Emery are doing abetter job that ETH quite simply

You finished above is us last season in one of Klopps worst seasons, and we still mugged you off 7-0.
———————————————————————————————————————
How much have you spent in those years though? You should be winning the league every season. Glazers out though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The fact you think we want the Glazers out because of a lack of funds says everything about you pal.
We want them out because they have wasted a lot of money and also bled the club dry at the same time in debt and interest payments.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They effectively are out now though, aren't they, with Ineos running things.

Perhaps a more pertinent question is whether our squads are comparable to Villa and Spurs?.......In terms of how we are doing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A combined Spurs, Villa and United team would include no United players. Maybe, just may be Luke Shaw

Someone should remind Dalot that he’s good at crossing.

he's so good at it he doesn't need to bother to show it

Yeah i still think its unfair and an injustice to the players that thave stepped up and their talent/ability, they get the credit before klopp for me and deservedly so. Hugely talented individuals and have stepped up, idk what more they can do.
