The champions league extends from 32 teams to 36 next season. Which country gets an extra spot will depend on the coefficient points achieved this season in all the European competitions. And the progress of West Ham and Villa into the last eight last night means England is edging ahead of Germany in securing an extra spot. That means the top 5 would go into the champions league, 6th and 7th to the Europa league and 8th to the conference

Not got my head around what happens if WHU win the EL and finish outside the top 5, presumably it reverts back to top 4 plus WHU in the CL, EL to 6th EC to 7th (unless WH finish either 6th or 7th in which case EC will go to 8th). Cant see us getting a 6th CL spot.

Honestly think it is all irrelevant, we won't get a top 8 spot anyway. Suspect Chelsea to finish strongly and we have too many big teams left to play.

If we hadnt had the injuries of late I'd have said we have a good chance of 8th, but right now I'd say its a slim chance.

Credit where it’s due, they have succeeding in turning the issue of detachment with the fans, experienced during the Moxey era, and really engaged with the fanbase again. 👍
