So poor, we deserved what we got.
We looked a shambles, all through the game.

Take it, well done Coventry.

such a strange game. Injuries killed us in truth but shouldn't throw it away like that though

Yeah, gotta be professional enough to see that out, defending deep and conceding possession around your 18 yard line is suicide, whether you're playing Coventry or Man U. Got to start learning those lessons.

Probably the worst performance under GON. Mitigating circumstances with the forward line, but it doesn't excuse the awful defending or lack of control from the midfield all game. Coventry could have scored 5 or 6 today.

We were very fortunate to find ourselves 2-1 up. It was completely undeserved, but to not be able to see out the last 5 minutes and then lose from that position is criminal.

Sa (kept us in the game) and RAN are the only players really to come out of that with any credit. Maybe Chiwome for putting himself about a bit when he came on. Otherwise, we were a shambles pretty much from start to finish.

yeah disjointed as feck Players not clear of roles

GON has said Neto is likely done for the season.

Good chance Neto will be here next season and it will be RAN that goes for big money.

Yeah, no chance we keep Ait-Nouri now. Been brilliant of late. Of all the great players we have had in recent times he is the best and will have the best career. Imagine him as a flying WB for a club that dominate the game.

Didn't look out of place as a forward today to be fair.

Yeah, dude has incredible skill and vision. He and Lemina teamed up well and ALL our best bits came from those two in an attacking sense.

In an attacking team the WBs are more midfield/attack anyway so still think that is his likely position at a strong side, if of course they play the 3 at the back.

Just glad everybody is finally on board, blew my mind when people would trash him. His crossing has been excellent as well lately and his durability has improved, full 90s commonplace now.

Just got back .enjoyed the hospitality more than the game

Thought we looked comfortable for good spells without really creating much

People around me complaining about the substitutions.but there were no obvious alternatives

Certainly the most disappointing day of the GON era. This was the day when having 4 forwards injured caught up with us as for a long spell we had little to offer up front with Fraser ineffective while Coventry created chance after chance with Sa making a succession of saves. Last week Lemina and Ait Nouri were the inspiration that compensated for us being weak up front but this week both had pretty poor games.

That was until GON surprisingly withdrew Doyle and put Ait Nouri up front who suddenly came alive, and Gomes took a grip of midfield and we turned the game around and looked to have won it till a crazy ending.

The international break now comes at a good time for us when hopefully we can move towards having forwards fit. And for GON to make friends with Doyle who was seriously upset at being taken off after being one of our better players. But then putting Ait Nouri up front and bringing Hugo Bueno on justified the change, or looked to have done after 95 minutes.

Just got back, dreadful journey there, arrived 15 minutes after KO. Weird game, we missed a hatful of good chances, but so did they. Sa probably saved 3 or 4 goal bound shots.

Was also surprised when Doyle was taken off, but changes had to be made. Difficult to see who else could have come off (maybe Sarabia, but imagine taking off our only recognised forward). In a sense the changes paid off with goals from RAN, who was able to go even further forward, and Hugo delivering his goal.

One thing is certain Coventry thoroughly deserved their win, good luck to them.

big opportunity missed but consensus of my friends is that Gary has overachieved with a small squad, obviously Cov deserved it but pretty brutal, journey not too bad , I agree RAN looks our biggest value asset

Terrible news that Neto is likely out for the season. Blow for us as a team, and will have a knock on effect on his transfer prospects. Difficult to see a club paying big bucks for a player that seems injury prone. Good that means he will probably stay here but will he ever get an injury free season?

On a more positive note it seems Cunha will be fit after the international break and Hwang and Bellegarde won’t be far away

One memorable moment from today’s game was the incredible open goal miss by Simms for Coventry in the first half. One of the worst misses I have ever seen live. Just a shame he did score two

posted on 16/3/24

I honestly thought he was terrible but if he hadn't missed that he would be sat on three hattricks this year

posted on 16/3/24

His first goal should probably have been ruled out too.

It looked handball from where I was sat

posted on 16/3/24

No doubt it was handball for me. Harsh but in the VAR world that isn't given against United, Liverpool or City, zero doubt about it.

or Coventry evidently

Wonder where wolfie is?

The rules are you can't score off an arm. It blatantly came off his arm. I don't know why they ruled it inconclusive.

We didn't deserve to win anyway, but it's another decision we have been on the wrong end of.
