If proven guilty City will appeal each of the 115 charges separately and drag it out another 20 years.

posted on 19/3/24

Absolutely,
Then they will be let off with a warning.

Apparently their lawyers are making enquiries about each of the 115 charges one at a time to drag it out to the absolute maximum.

Is there really anybody, other than the most delusional and blinkered City fans, that actually believes they are innocent of any wrong doing? It’s just not possible that they grew their revenue legitimately to the extent claimed.

City will get off, simple as that.

Wrong tactics by the Premier League advisors. Giving them 115 charges was always going to result in a protracted legal battle. They should have picked half a dozen charges they were confident of winning and nailed them with those, then worked through the list in a manageable way

Lamina, Dawson, Sarabia and Semedo will all enter the final year of their contract with Wolves this summer so the club would be expected to offer them new deals if they want to keep them beyond next season or at least get a decent fee if they were sold

Plenty of speculation that wolves will receive offers for Ait Nouri this summer who has another two years to go on his contract. When we bought him from Angers in France they included a sell on clause that would give them 50% of any transfer fee received. Wolves have the option of buying out that sell on clause for £10m

To my mind. Ait Nouri is our most valuable asset. He would easily demand a fee of around £70mk.

I don't currently see anyone else getting near that.

Would want to offer new contracts to all 4 of those players and, if possible, Ait Nouri.

Lemina is crucial to us for the next few years, Semedo is improving match by match, Sarabia is a good squad player and, for me, Dawson has a couple more seasons in him.

Nice to see Joao Gomes in the Brazil squad and may get game time against England. Also Dexter Lembikisa may well start tomorrow for Jamaica v USA.

A no brainer to buy out the 10 mill in Ait-Nouri's contract.

He is easily going to fetch 40m + and more likely 50+

As for value, he is quite possibly our most valuable asset with only Cunha and Gomes with the potential to come close currently. Neto with a full season would also be in that range but that full season never looks like happening.

Be very surprised if we don't see approaches for Cunha this summer as it goes.

Can't understand why we haven't taken the option of buying out that sell on clause already.

Pretty obvious to anybody that understands the game that he is a real talent.

No real point in buying out that option at the moment. Wait and see what offers come in. Decide whether to accept one of those offers or keep him. Then buy out the option

So more of a “no pointer” than a “no brainer” then.

Be great for Joao Gomes if he can get his first cap for Brazil in this break, as long as he doesn’t get injured. They play England on Saturday then Spain on Tuesday so couldn’t get a much more challenging introduction than that

Be surprised if there isn't a stipulation preventing that in some way. Dunno though, maybe, just seems a bit off that we could receive an offer and then go and buy out Angers stipulation. No idea how that would work though, either way we will be triggering that stipulation in some form soon enough.

Why doesn’t the sell on clause just say that we pay Angers 50% of the transfer fee “up to a maximum of £10mk.”

The buy out clause is a “no pointer”

I wonder if Amigas daughter is still head of transfers?

Plenty of reports today that Man Utd are targeting the signing of Joao Gomes this summer for £40m to replace Casemiro in their squad.

Also stories that Wolves are prepared to sell Fabio Silva in the summer for £15m

Wolves have now completed the signing of 16 year old Matheus Mane from Rochdale who was also wanted by Arsenal and Southampton

Just finished watching the USA v Jamaica match. After going 1-0 up in the first minutes, Jamaica let it slip with an own goal from a corner in the very last minute of added time, eventually losing 3-1 after E/T. A very scrappy game on a poor pitch with Jamaica playing hoof ball tactics for the most part.

Dexter Lembikisa played the full 120 minutes and should be proud of his performance. Kept their attack down his side under control, but didn't see much of his attacking play as they were on the back foot for the most part. A player I have thought highly of for a few seasons now and very much hope he's in our first team squad next season.

From what I’ve read of Lembikisa’s role at Hearts he is evidently impressing with his attacking play on the right but has been vulnerable at times defensively as a right back

Good night for our Portuguese players last night. Toti Gomes got his second cap as he came off the bench in their 5-2 win against Sweden with Semedo getting two assists.
Fabio scored the first for their u21s who beat Faroe Islands 4-0

No Ruben Neves in the Portuguese squad sadly. Reading about Saudi football this week, they spent around £750m last summer bringing top European players in to improve the standard of their league. One consequence was the Saudis selling tv coverage of their games to over 130 countries. However the investment hasn’t lead to the expected surge in attendances with the average crowd only 8,300. As a result there will not be a massive investment in new players this summer and some might even be sold back to Europe. The Saudi investment in football will start to switch to developing stadiums and infrastructure towards them hosting the 2034 World Cup

Got to agree with the previous two posters after watching the highlights of USA v Jamaica.

Dexter Lembikisa actually did resort to hoof ball tactics for the most part when under pressure, and didn't get forward much at all.

Agree with DJ that he's vulnerable at times defensively as a right back, and was at fault for at least two of USA's goals.

The kid still has plenty to improve on before he returns to the first team squad for sure, as such, my jury is still out on him.
