I loved Peter Shilton's comment this morning that it's a disgrace and that the flag should always be Red, White and Blue...

That’s amazing

Well exactly, if it's not our colours then it may as well be some other country - Madeupistan.

-----------------------------------------------------------

But when you look at it in context, as a design feature on an England kit, it's not confusing, is it? It clearly alludes to the England flag + weaves in the blue that's the secondary colour from the England kit. Is anyone genuinely confused about the meaning? No. It's not confusion. It's flag fetishism.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't really get why it needs to be changed though? I like how the idea behind it according to Nike is "to unite and inspire" when it appears to have done the opposite.

How does changing the colours of a nation's flag inspire exactly?

I take it all those who are up in arms about this, do the same about the actual police wearing the “thin blue line” version of the Union Jack?
Relax - it’s just a football jersey.

They haven’t changed the colours on the nations flag.

They have changed a thumbnail of the flag on the back of the collar to mimicking the 1966 training kit.

The England flag is exactly the same as it’s been for a long, long, time.

The price is a disgrace, couldn't care less about the flag. In fact it's funny how it's pishing so many flag wunkers off

Missed a trick by not making the flag official LGBTQ+ rainbow colours. The gammon brigade would have actually exploded.

Yes I know it's the little flag on the back but they still changed the colours and I still don't know why they bothered. You'd think they'd have anticipated it would cause some negative reaction to it.
