Time to get the Rotherham GK in with Wildsmith moving on. I wonder where he'll end up and whether he'd been tapped up in January by a Champ club. I did read PL clubs were interested too but I can't see that happening.
All those released I'd agree with and wish them all well for the future. Surprised to see Bradley remains, partly because I thought he was on a 1yr contract. I'd be happy to see him move on as I don't see him suited to Champ level now.
Collins and Sibley in conversation is reassuring. I've made it my thoughts on Sibley clear ....as Ang has kindly pointed out this season 🙂. From a business perspective it makes sense to hold Sibley if we can sell him on in the future. Having seen his fellow Academy graduates move on ( to bigger and better opportunities) he will no doubt want a strong financial package.
Now that the retained list has been confirmed I hope first signing will be Adams, he is for me our future captain. Depending on cost I'd like Burrows in next and then after that it's a question of who PW has identified from abroad to sprinkle into this squad.
We've done well with the international African players and I would like to see another one or two added to the squad. A pacy striker would be the number one call and I wouldn't mind another tough defender in the Nyambe mould for central defence.
I've heard 2 rumours...Warne is going to Norwich and Sonny is going to Manchester United.
At last we pretty well know where we stand in terms of the new faces needed. All that could be scuppered, however, if non-refusable offers come in for our star players like Cashin or NML for example.
A goalkeeper must be top priority plus a LB, at least two midfielders (I trust including Adams) and two strikers. I'm glad Fozzie will still be around even though he may not get many games. I thought Barks might be allowed to leave as he is inconsistent but he does have talent which could prove useful. Also happy that Thommo will get another year and that Collo and Sibs could well get new deals. Bit surprised Washington is staying. I've nothing much against him bar his injury record although I suspect he is not an out and out goalscorer. The departures are unsurprising and as Desi says we thank them and wish them well.
Barkhuizen triggered a clause in his contract so it was his decision to stay rather than Warne’s. The same with Fozzy. I think Washington is still under contract for another season so if that’s true then Warne had no say in that either. It must be interesting being a manager! You aren’t free to make all of the decisions. Letting Smith go suggests that either we have irons in the fire or that Robinson and Fornah will step forward a bit.

Rumours from The Daily VC10 are that Sonny Bradley will be joining in a player/manager capacity at Manchester United.

Well on todays performance I would struggle to find a Bolton player who would improve us in the Champ 🤔

Well, theyre still in Lg1 🤔
Bolton were rubbish today but Sheehan is a clever player and the type we have lacked. Charles is lively though I wonder if he might be a nob.
