Id say not unless its proven refs have been bribed or on the oayroll of certain clubs but then again we know prem refs are employed in the middle east by the same states that own a couple of prem teams?

It’s funny watching Boris try to deflect from City’s owners, but other club’s fans aren’t conditioned to defend piece of shiiiiit owners like he is.

This is funny because it’s true. It also shows sports washing absolutely works.
Such is the integrity of the prem these days atleast if it does come out it will all make sense to the standard of officiating over the last decade or so.

I don’t think sports washing works, because I don’t even think it’s a thing. Sheikh Mansour buying Man City did far more to ruin the reputation of the UAE than it did to enhance it, because they’ve drawn far more focus onto the human rights abuses of the country. People in Britain didn’t really know, or care, about this until he made City the most successful club in the country.

How do you work that out? I’m not defending their honour and reputation, I’m doing the opposite.
If sports washing exists, then it’s not very effective because all it’s done is bring into the focus the actions of the people that are buying these clubs, which is counterproductive. Either they are stupid, which I don’t think they are, or sports washing isn’t their intention, which is the most reasonable conclusion to make.

We're not the audience for the washing, though. Sports fans who make the effort to be informed about everything going on behind the scenes know, but the general public doesn't know or care.

Quite funny actually.
On here it flushed out the racists and exposed how many people actually thought the UAE, Yemen, Qatar and Saudi Arabia were the same country.
But the general public have become more informed because it’s been publicised. And if, as is so often the case, hate what City have done to become successful that you don’t even need to become informed because you will go with any negative.
City’s neighbours are Manchester United, they have the biggest fanbase in the country. You think Mansour has washed his reputation with them? And that’s without even considering the fan bases of Liverpool and Arsenal.

Please enlighten me as to how Sheikh Mansour became a success and how we can all aspire to follow his example.
And if you’re talking about the general public that have no interest in sport or the UAE, then how exactly has it washed their reputation when they didn’t give a fack before and don’t give a fack now?

Our books are probably fine. Some of the companies we do business with definitely aren't

Joe Lewis is a paragon of virtue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah he's a real piece of sh!t. Thankfully he's not involved any more and wasn't hands on anyway
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s funny watching Boris try to deflect from City’s owners, but other club’s fans aren’t conditioned to defend piece of shiiiiit owners like he is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you think Sheikh Mansour is a 'piece of shiiiit' exactly?
Racism, jealous of success?

Great answer.

He's been to two home games in 14 years and one CL final. He even missed the other one in Portugal.
Massive fan of Manchester though.......🙃
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Is that more games than Malcolm Glazer?
You are aware that Chemical Jim hadn't actually been to a game at Old Trafford until this season?

This is funny because it’s true. It also shows sports washing absolutely works.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think sports washing works, because I don’t even think it’s a thing. Sheikh Mansour buying Man City did far more to ruin the reputation of the UAE than it did to enhance it, because they’ve drawn far more focus onto the human rights abuses of the country. People in Britain didn’t really know, or care, about this until he made City the most successful club in the country.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re literally doing it now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you work that out?
