Retribution in Southport was to be expected.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
By attacking police and mosques?
Shows how stupid the far right are that this is their definition of retribution.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t want any mosque or police officer attacked.
Things need to be dealt with legally and sensibly.
For example yesterday online people were spreading misinformation about the suspect which has clearly resulted in the violence in Southport.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think it would have kicked off regardless tbf. This isn’t surprising at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The cops done said none of these protesters are even from that locality.

It doesn't help that the perpetrators of these major crimes/terror attacks are immigrants

This statement is false I suspect. It's only looks like that perchance, or is made to look that way perhaps because of media trends and bias towards what the consumer wants to read.
Most of these crimes are committed by white natives, often right wingers but not always. Also, right wing terrorism is the second biggest terrorist threat in the west according to official stats from most countries, after Islamic terrorism of course.
Same thing in USA where reporting on crime is loaded with deceptions and misleading percentage figures.

I do think the situation is now calling for a public interest challenge to releasing the suspect's identity.
I think that might stop the misinformation, speculation and escalation in its tracks.

But you use percentages to twist the narrative. Lies are your forte.

Percentages are useless for that purpose because the approval rate of any country will always fluctuate from year to year and decade to decade and also be influenced by the total number of applications. I was trying to point that out. Using percentages without proper context is very deceptive IMO, and right wing agendas love them for that reason.

The facts and figures are twisted to make it look like the country is approaching breaking point with immigration when our peer countries have taken far more in, and still doing better than us economically while we continue to run around fighting each other and being divided and doing the funky chicken and blaming immigration for the repercussion of 14 years of Tory rule and international wars which we back and fund, which is why Tories never shut up about cultural war stuff and defending democracy abroad, which is a very effective distraction in this country.
Third world countries with a national budget less than one UK City have absorbed more refugees and asylum seekers than us and their economies still see growth. It's concerning that many people don't care about the accuracy or veracity of statements if those statements happen to support their view, outlook or point.
