He is 26 and meets home grown quotas but that cannot be a reason to sign him would rather just give Lankshear a run and spend that money somewhere else.

Whilst, I kind of agree I'm not forgetting Kulu in the 9 role as well. It could be the making of him.

I agree. He does look like he can make that position his own.

I definitely think he would be a improvement on what we have, depending on the money of course

Solanke is a good fit for the system, he was the number 1 pressing striker last season as well.

If it’s him plus Neto/Eze then I think that’s really good business for the summer.

We need a striker, Solanke fits the bill but at £65m no fecking way.

He's a 40-45m striker with add-ons should he prove to be more than the one season wonder he has been so far, aged 26.

The problem is Bournemouth have no need to sell and they are going to be quite reluctant to sell a guy who scored 19 for them last season.

Last summer we spent about net £130m, total outlay of £230m, although that did include making Deki permanent.

SO far this year:

Gray £40m
Bergvall £8m

Out:
Rodon 10m
Hojbjerg loan but with £17m next year
Gil £1m loan

Emerson likely to go for £15m

SO net we're still about 40m spent b4 allowing for Emerson & PEHs obligation to buy.

If you compare to last season, we had no European money and since then we have shifted the wages of Kane (£250k) NDombele (£200k) Dier (£100k) Perisic (£180k) Hojbjerg (£100k) off the weekly wage bill. That's about £40m saved.

Yes we have added to it since but the likes of Johnson, Gray Bergvall, Dragusin will but a lot cheaper. Even VDV is reportedly on just £50k a week

There may also be a bit of Kane profit sloshing around?

I think we are well placed to go a bit harder this season in terms of spending and also space in the wage bill.

It will depend on structure - we might be able to do an initial loan for 12 months with an obligation to purchase next summer like we did with Romero and Kulu

We also have the biggest FFP headroom in history - we can spend something insane like £400m this summer and not have any issues.

We’re the 8th richest club in the world.

You see the money West Ham are reportedly dropping this summer, with the knowledge that Paquetas value could be zero next year and our fans are worried about £120m

Depends, if we said say £70m with £20m now and £50m next summer they would bite our arm off.

Wolves would probably do similar for Neto

Would be crazy to spend it all in one window. It would mean we would have to sell to buy in future windows lile Chelsea and Villa are right now.

It might be less but it will be more than £250m after selling Kane for £100m last summer. My guess is it’s north of £300m

I’m not advocating spending it all, my original point was Spurs fans shouldn’t worry about the club net spending £120m - £150m this summer - we are absolutely fine and have significantly reduced the wage bill now all of Dier, Kane, Lloris, Perisic, Ndombele have gone.

I did read that despite scoring 19 he actually was still below his X goals last season, although not by much. Let’s face it, with Brennan, Werner and Richy he would definitely fit in with regards to that
