Why are the riots not surprising?
Were the riots in Leeds also not surprising?

Why are these people supporting this riot and but we're upset about the one in Leeds?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
or on the flip side why do the government seem to support the one in Leeds but not the one this week.
=====
My goodness.

Compare and contrast the actions of so called patriots in Southport and the Muslim community in Harehills

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/jul/28/leeds-riots-harehills-disorder-muslim-men-children-care

Who is better for the country and who is detrimental to it?

I could be wrong but were there any protests over the horrific crimes carried out by Lucy Letby? I certaintly don't recall hearing anything about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, is the OP a serious question.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OP shouldn't be taken seriously but imagine if Lucy Letby was Asian heritability or an immigrant? There would have been protests for sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
how do you know? This is the first time i've seen, what people consider to be the right, protesting post crimes. So we can't say.

Of course he didn't. Nick is a genius.

How is this the first time we've seen protests post-crime? The whole movement is based on the idea that crimes are being committed by immigrants and the government covering them up as part of the great replacement.

Not if she was here legally.

I think this is it. The peaceful riots this week were because the muslim from the middle east came across on the boat last year ILLEGALLY at fighting age and lied about his age. Then stabbed children this week.

THAT'S the issue and why these mainly peaceful riots are perfectly justified.

Let's be clear here, the violence seen since Southport is rooted completely in misinformation.

As soon as it happened, a few nefarious right wing twitter accounts described the attacker as an "alleged Muslim immigrant". Nothing more than a complete lie.

A few hours later a story originated from a random news website (a website which surprise surprise, appears to originate from Russia if you go back far enough), giving what was quite clearly a made-up Arab-sounding name. Again, complete bollox.

Unfortunately these lies spread so far and so fast that the truth didn't matter in the end. They did exactly what they were intended to do, which was to feed into the right-wing "WE WERE RIGHT AND NO ONE IS LISTENING TO US" mentality. And people ended up blaming Muslims and attacking mosques.

Taking emotion out of it, the whole thing is actually an interesting case study on how easily masses of people are influenced by misinformation on social media. But if you try and ask the "protesters" London/Hartlepool etc. how on Earth what they are doing has anything to do with what happened in Southport, they won't be able to give you an answer. Because there isn't one.

According to Nick, Tommy Robinson and his cohorts are "what people consider to be the right".

When was the last, what people consider to be right wing, protest in the immediate aftermath of a crime/murder like what we saw in southport? I cant remember any but could be forgetting.

Farage, Tommy Robinson, Trump are all Russian stooges or under Russian kompromat.

Many decades ago, leaked Russian intelligence documents showed a plan to attack the west through it's diversity and racial differences. The west could not be destroyed from outside, only from within in a scenario where it defeats itself.

I think the biggest divide in the UK is between people who have a lot and people who have very little. If we were all well off enough to have a roof over our head and food on the table, with even just a little left over for luxuries, then I'm of the opinion race wouldn't really come into it.

The people I know aren't racist and it seems the vast majority on here aren't racist either.

I'll continue to call the likes of Tommy Robinson out even if it means the odd direct message slagging me off. Surprisingly it's usually sheep related! How original.

Thing with these far right thugs is that you know they beat their wife and hit their kids, but ‘protest’ brown people who share their immoral values.

Which forments the attitude of 'this demographic are taking what I should have' we increasingly see. Or racism.
