Surely Chelsea with 250 young players in their 1st team squad would have one or two useful loanees available

I mentioned last night that the barest minimum in squad strengthening will have been achieved with what looks like today the addition of AO and Schmidt.
I will be utterly flabbergasted and of course delighted if
we sign Hamer or Sallai as I just don't feel our owners
are genuinely trying to do so but if I'm wrong on that I will apologise and I'm still not 100% sure Gnonto won't leave before the day is over.
The financials that I have worked out are that the club since our painful Wembley defeat has brought in around £130 million in player sales which £30 million has had to balance the books and we've spent including the 2 new players expected today and loan fees for Solomon and Rothwell about £37 million so we can all see a significant inbalance in the clubs spending and what the owners have so far chosen not to strengthen us further with and comfortably afford us a key marquee signing that really blows the rest of the Championship clubs out of the park.
Anyway there is still time for this to happen but for me I
am not a fan of their brinksmanship and think they could
and should have not left things till the last minute.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You may call it ‘brinkmanship’ - most would call it complacency, amateurism or delusion. If we get anyone else in I’ll be staggered (but delighted) - unfortunately this club rarely goes above and beyond, preferring to opt for the bare minimum, which is what we’ve got as things stand.
The club seem to take ages to announce a signing. Surely the Tanaka deal is done and dusted by now.
Why dont we put a cheeky bid in for Toney and offer Bamford in Part Ex?

Nothing wrong with Meslier, why would you want your keeper changing on last day of transfer window, its utter madness
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously wouldn't change Meslier this late in the window, that's just starting an argument for no reason, but there is plenty wrong with him, he's a god awful keeper, stats bear this out from this year and last, I'm not talking goals conceded, he was protected by a very respectable defence last year but still below average stats wise.
We could have done so much better Farke is very narrow minded, I hope it doesn't cost us.

And how much would you sell him for

Sound idea. Toney plus cash and they get the only
#9 capable of playing up front for Leeds. Love it.
Hamer and sallai and id be ecstatic.
Schmidt im happy with but the Aaronson like ao I'm not too excited about. Especially if we don't get at least one of the former.
Most Leeds fans hate goalkeepers who dont save every shot and strikers who dont score 20+ goals a season

Yes it seems Lorra that any real intention to sign Hamer for example for an acceptable bid of £18 million that Shef.Utd owners would accept and Leeds could comfortably afford without risking financial penalties, should have been made immediately after the Rutter news broke but as usual it all falls flat.
It may turn out that who we have brought in so far are absolute steals and cracking new signings we all love but the opportunity to finally bring in a Pablo type player and I reckon be the crucial missing piece in the jigsaw has just been swatted away by our awwwwsome Trans Atlantic soccer owners who I assume think they know best.
Unless there are some dramatic changes to the almost inevitable underwhelming script being played out I sincerely hope they're right.
If we went up last year Ramsdale would be a great target.
Ao is pronounced Ow just in case people were curious.
Private jet in its way to Leeds from Budapest. The hopefuls think it might be a player 😱

Be happy with Sallai if no on Hamer.
Not too sure why we haven't gone for another experienced quality centre-half. The treatment of Cresswell will forever baffle me.
Wober doesn't look interested.
Never been convinced about Struijk plus he's injury prone.
If Rodon picked up an injury we'd be in trouble. Obviously we have Ampadu but then we're a man down in midfield.
I read Cresswell made team of the week in France after his debut. We might regret Farke freezing him out and letting him go. It was obviously best for Cresswell.
I think Struijk is our best cb when healthy.
Would have liked to see some cover because wober is pants.
Rumours clickbait who knows....Benson, Chair, Sallai and Hamer plus Wilder threatening to quit if Shef Utd sell him to us are still being touted as being distinct last gasp final 3rd deal of the day possibilities....Interesting the Wilder one though as I can almost see his face
turning beetroot colour and his head exploding at the
thought of Hamer joining Leeds....Won't happen will it???
A huge part of our fantastic run last season (and the reason Meslier kept so many clean sheets) was the partnership of Rodon & Ampadu. If Struijk had been fit he wouldn't have dislodged either of those two. They were impeccable for months.
