if we end up having a very bad season, which hopefully won’t happen, it will probably be down to the manager not getting things right rather than not having good enough players
With Liverpool and Man City the next two home games then we could do with getting something out of this game.otherwise we could arrive in November with no points at home.
After the problems of the second half of last season when we were needing to call up academy players to make up the numbers, it’s a very different puzzle for GON now. He has to decide what 11 and what set up will get the best out of the players available.
Dawson must be part of the defence and Cunha and Strand Larsen must be part of the attack. Pretty much every other position is up for grabs.
Mosquera was taken off with a suspected injury just minutes from full time. Ready for Sunday?
Another tough fixture.
We need to keep Izak under control, if we can then we can grab a point, hopefully two.

No chance of us grabbing 2 points in my opinion.
Either none, one, or three is my prediction.

Andre played the full game for Brazil in their game against Paraguay last night which they lost 1-0. In fact he was the only one of the midfielders and forwards not to be subbed.
So with a full game behind him and then the long flight back here from South America, I don’t think there’s any chance he will start at the weekend, maybe on the bench. Joao Gomes was an unused sub last night so should be ok
Brazil are a bit crap now aren't they?

We do have a squad full of decent players it appears now but we've not got many now that you'd say are genuinely top class performers. The overall quality of the squad is a step or two down on what it was 5 or 6 years ago. But we do have some depth. There is an onus on the coaching staff to get the blend balance and tactics right to give the squad the best chance of success.
Serious point here - I feel it's my duty to warn you all that should you visit the Wolves smartphone app this evening or the club's website tomorrow you may well be exposed to images of the new third shirt. I have unfortunately and unwittingly fallen victim and have been exposed to this shocking clash of purple and orange, an affront to the eyes, good taste and well, common decency. Please exercise caution and if you must visit the website for whatever reason, please ensure appropriate eye protection is worn
What a sight it would be if 30,000 people turned up at Molineux wearing purple and orange. It could go viral and be the envy of football fans around the world

You're very smart, my qualifications in mathematics are not worth the paper they are written on.
Could someone please explain why on earth we need a third shirt? We barely need a second one, as our colours hardly ever clash with our opponents.

Plenty of speculation that GON will revert to 3 at the back for Sunday’s game
No injury worries following the internationals. Lemina & Ait-Nouri have only just arrived back and haven't trained much, Mosquera has some cramp in his calves and didnt train fully but no injury.
Forbs trained for the first time today. Sa training well but looks like the shirt is now Johnstone's with Sa as back up.
Still difficult to predict what team we will put out tomorrow. Must be doubts about Lemina and Ait Nouri and maybe now Mosquera as well. And Andre might not be considered ready yet.
If everyone was fit I think I’d go for;
Johnstone
Mosquera, Dawson, Toti
Semedo, Lemina, Gomes, Ait Nouri
Bellegarde, Strand Larsen, Cunha
One positive is that Callum Wilson, who scored both Newcastle goals in this fixture last season, is not fit to play
Rodrigo Gomes played a full 90 minutes for Portugal U21 this week as they won 2-0 in Croatia. And he played right back
Yet another Molineux game has been moved for tv coverage by Sky. The game against Palace on Saturday November 2nd will now kick off at 17:30.
We’re at home again the following Saturday 9th when we play Southampton, and unbelievably that will kick off at 15:00
Still feckin around down here and rarely had internet, so can someone tell me if we did end up moving anyone else on after the window closed? Saw Sa mentioned as still being here?
He's still with as far as I can see
Sa is still here but what’s not clear is whether he wants to be here. Suspect he will be moving on in 2025, maybe in Jan maybe next summer
Seems to me that nearly every home match so far has been televised?
I’m not able to make tomorrow’s match so I’m grateful for the Sky coverage.
Read yesterday that if we lose it will be the worst start to a Premier League season since we returned to the top flight with Nuno. Coupled with the worst end to a season last year, when we ran out of steam, it makes for worrying statistics.
I’m concerned that we’ve added numbers but no quality again, we’ve weakened the starting eleven again, we’re not going to keep getting away with it.
Hearing rumours that we could see a completely new set up tomorrow?
