Yeah a back four primarily I think
Possibly our best starting 11
Looks good, wonder if Larsen needs someone with him though, don’t think club have bought my seat for the game, going to Brighton and Villa though
Toti injured not dropped apparently

Yeah, not heard him for years but his dismissive 'A Brazilian starter playing for Wolves' was pretty tw@tttish
Ummm, so this keeper upgrade?!
Three times Johnstone has Sa'ed it so far today and nearly been caught.
Our defending absolutely kills us
Where’s the next point coming from?
Palace at home in November?
I'm afraid GON's insistence in playing a back 4 is backfiring on him. We are better with 3 at the back and RAN playing further forward. We were a counter attacking team under Nuno and we still seem to be one. I'm sure we're all frustrated at how we are rarely the team with more possession, even at home and at this rate, even with the new additions, we are going to be fighting relegation. We have even tougher games coming up and to be sitting 3rd from bottom is not what I expected from this manager or the players.
Just seen this “Wolves midfielder Andre completed all 40 of his passes before being substituted.
It is the most passes without misplacing a single one on record (since 2003-04) by a player on their first ever Premier League start.”. Reasons to be cheerful.
Thought a point was the least we deserved. 1-0 up with 10 minutes to go. Then to concede 2 goals from outside the box, one of which was deflected, I think we can feel hard done to. Newcastle are a good side and we more than gave them a game.
On the other hand, 1 point from 12 with some tough games to come has to be worrying. The lads need to stay positive.
Just got back. Will watch the recording of it shortly
Thought we played well enough
The back four wasn't the issue. it was sloppiness from individuals. RAN was very solid today. Mosquera didn't impress me and Johnstone was worse than Sa with the ball at his feet today. three times his play from the back was deflected and almost intercepted. Dawson will get better thankfully with games again.
Injuries to key players already creeping in is a concern.
Entertaining game and certainly one we didn’t deserve to lose. Newcastle dominated for 15 minutes but then we were the better team for the majority of the game. Nothing we could do about Newcastle’s goals. The first was set to be a straight forward save for Johnstone until it took a deflection. And the second was just an outstanding strike.
Don’t think there’s anyone I’d criticise on the Wolves side with Andre, Cunha and Strand Larsen probably the pick. Cunha and Larsen both hit the post when it was 1-0 and I think we’d have got over the line if one of those had gone in.
But the league table doesn’t look pretty and with home games against Liverpool and Man City ahead it’s unlikely to improve soon unless we can get results away at Villa and Brentford. Already got one eye on November where we have home games against Palace, Southampton and Bournemouth. And we’re going to need results from those.
It is really frustrating. We have the potential to sneak Europe but for that lack of another top defender.
Thought it we looked good for 70 minutes, some scary moments but we defended well as a team up until GON made the change. I sensed though that even before the jammy goal we had started to drop off a yard or two and we allowed both Schar and Barnes to get their shots off which we hadn't allowed up till then.
I actually though Mosquera had a good game got loads of blocks and headers in and covered well. Very impressed with Andre, forced Joelinton out of the game which must have been satisfying for him. He was knackered towards the end though as were Semedo, RAN and Lemina. The makings of a decent side are there but we've got to find a way to stop leaking goals. We've seen some top quality finishing too to be fair from opponents in the two home games so far, we've not quite matched that either. I know it's tough to keep up the intensity for 95+ minutes but that is think it's what's required. Had we played like we did for the first 70 for the whole game I think we could have come away with a 2-0 or at worst a 2-1. Your levels drop in this league and the oppo smells blood.
It's going to be a tough month or so now for sure.
Agree Mosquera did well today and with Newcastle continually attacking down their left I thought Semedo generally did well against first Gordon then Barnes. When Doc replaced him, Barnes took advantage. Ait Nouri had a much improved game at left back but the back line benefits so much from Dawson being there.
Didn’t think any of our subs helped us today. Doc wasn’t solid in defence. Hwang and Guedes did nothing. Forbs had a couple of bright runs. Tommy Doyle the one who did well but he’s going to have a task finding a place in this team.
Where was Toti today? I presume injured but haven’t heard anything
Toti was injured apparently.
Hwang spent his twenty odd minutes glued to the left touchline. Was a bit more mobile in added time when we were chasing the game but didn't get in to the areas where he's usually most dangerous. In fact Dawson went up in the middle.
Yeah we sit level with the 18 yard line in the Billy wright lower Dawson's Beckenbaur like run was a joy to behold
Really not sure how we didn't score 3 or 4.pope made some great saves
