It goes beyond 4 games - it’s 37 games now of bottom half form.
Johnson, Solanke, Werner - all signed during his time and 2 are pizh poor, I will give Solanke more time and actually still think he will come good, but we can’t keep missing chances.
Romero gets on my tiiiits, his quality is undoubted but he has the focus of a toddler on a sugar high.
But Romero aside - the whole defence is shocking at set pieces. Even against Everton at 2-0 up, 5 mins before half time, we were scrabbling to keep them out after they put 5/6 corners together in a little flurry. His whole not practicing defending them agitates the schittt out of me - do you reckon Pep/Klopp/Fergie had that attitude.
We’ve signed some incredibly talented young players and have another potentially generational talent coming through - but it means nothing with these tactics, or more precisely lack of
Poch, Nuno, Conte , Mourinho, Ange and even 2 temporary managers!!

Doest’t need a rocket scientist to work out the common denominator here.
We need to spend properly. You scout poorly you get left behind . All teams have cash to burn now. The Good old days are gone and the EPL is mega competitive.
I'm happy to stay with Ange, even if we dont end up doing anything under him I think he will help create the right building blocks going forward.

Spurs have come a long way, rebuilt the squad an completely changed the way of playing, and some expect us to be title challengers or something. Talk of Ange's job being under pressure helps no one and is far too premature, but if people are not careful it can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Not just that, but what else do we have?
But that applies to the whole league to be fair - if City win next week then the title race is over after 5 games, no way they let a 5 point advantage slip after being far behind the previous 2 years and still winning it.
So Ange’s attitude towards the league cup and Europa is vital. He only has to look at United and see how Ten Hag has managed to keep himself in a job there despite some horrendous league showings. Any rotation on Wednesday coupled with us going out should be instant dismissal - we have little else to play for
I really can't get on board with yet another flip-flop. We've signed all these players in the Ange mould. What good would they be were we to go out and get Tuchel, for instance.
I actually think he'll get a lot longer than you think. I think after recent years there's an understanding at board level that this is a project. Whether it's one that will see any success I remain massively sceptical on but all the same, I don't think Levy will have an appetite for change and neither will our fanbase really. We've tried sacking and reappointing. It doesn't work. All it does is mean another wave of recruitment to correct things that don't align with the next manager's thinking.
We need to give Ange at least this season. By that point he'll have had two years. If we see no progress then, maybe we do something about it but honestly, as much as our form annoys me, most of my anger is with Levy. We've signed players relatively cheaply that aren't good enough to play in this system. Where we have spent big, we've bought, dare I say it, a couple of potential duds in Johnson and Solanke.
The fact United looked around for a potential manager and decided to stick with Ten Hag tells you all you need to know about just how empty the manager pool is.
Stick, if only because there isn't a credible alternative and I really can't go through another cycle.

I feel it's too soon to ditch Ange, I feel recruitment has been off - again. Even with the new recruitment team in place. Ange does have final say on transfers that is true but it sounds like he's picked from options presented to him by the recruitment team.
Those criticising set plays, I agree they're a nightmare, I can barely watch when the oppo get a corner. Its a mix of the wrong personnel in there, Romero, porro, vicario etc, even VDV isn't great in the air... When do you see him get the ball away in the area ? However they have made some big changes moving to more of a man to man system, it's very different to last year.
I think it comes back to Levy, the trend in signing we make lacks of ambition. Odobert and Werner coming in as the new wide players was massively underwhelming and Johnson before him.
This is a recurring pattern over 20 years... The managers want more, Conte said as much, we need to be signing 70-80 mil players not 30-40 if we want to progress. It's the one thing he got right.
The longer this cycle continues the less players will want to join us... Sacking poch for mourinho was his last chance for me and he's lurched from one failure to another since. Great business man, not a football man. We need a complete change in culture and that comes from the top.

So the plan is rather than have a win now manager we’re better off having a 10th now manager.
I don’t get this to be honest, yeah we’re all sick of changes and false dawns, but that’s all we’re ever going to get under Levy until he realises he knows naff all about football and faaacks himself off to the commercial side only. So we know he will keep rolling the dice and every now and again he flukes a decent manager, I’d rather do that than continue with this lame duck.

The passing is better, the finishing is atrocious, we can’t defend set pieces, Romero is getting worse under him and he seems clueless when it comes to wingers given the paucity of ours.
I just don’t see these building blocks.
He isn’t even a manager renowned for giving youth a chance
A side that misses chance after chance.
-------------------
I'm not seeing this. I'm seeing a side that is struggling to create good chance after good chance. We fail to really test the opposition's keeper. It's like we can't figure out the answers. The players play it narrow and keep looking to cut in when it goes wide. As a result they're usually easily dealt with. Crosses from wide when they come in are often too poor to make any difference.
I do worry about the youth aspect for sure

The issue is, where do you go next? You've tried the get rich quick coaches in Conte and Mourinho. Philosophy coach in Ange.
I was looking at your form after anges opening ten games. It's genuinely shocking. I've no idea how the media are still being so soft on him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Jose and Conte should not be repeated, but we’ve gone too far in the other direction with Ange - the football is good to watch but it’s all fur coat and no knickers.
It’s fine at Celtic to miss loads of chances before finally taking one, because chances are Motherwell won’t take either of the 2 chances you give them - in the Prem though it is fatal to give players like even a geriatric Vardy or Isak that one chance, they bury them.
In terms of where we go - Tuchel is so obvious that it can’t possibly happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tuchel would be a huge mistake in my opinion. He's combative and hard to manage and his style of play doesn't really align with the club's philosophy of nurturing young talent. A lot has changed since his Dortmund days. He's very much a win now with top talent type of coach in the Conte mould.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the plan is rather than have a win now manager we’re better off having a 10th now manager.

I just think the profiles we go with will set us up well, and the team as a whole is improving their technical skillset under him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The passing is better, the finishing is atrocious, we can’t defend set pieces, Romero is getting worse under him and he seems clueless when it comes to wingers given the paucity of ours.
